Are there any Buffy or Angel episodes that bug you?

Ted. I can't stand the episode, pretty much everything about it annoys me.

Superstar. Ughh an entire episode of Jonathan?! Way to over the top to enjoy.

Those both sucked.
I can't think of a any episodes that bug me. I can think of elements in some episodes, and episodes I dislike, but no episode simply "bugs" me.

hmm good thread! erm for me the episodes i might skip are 'restless' - because i dont enjoy it as much as the others, 'the initiative' - i dont know i guess the other episodes are better and although i think this was done so well i have to skip 'the body' as its too sad for me and too real.

"The Girl In Question" (If Sarah couldn't be there to play Buffy, the whole story should have been scrapped in favor of more time being devoted to building up to the finale.
I was just about to type out the same thing; 100% agree. I understand that the writer's wanted to give some closure to the Buffy storyline but without SMG it just wasn't the same. I think the episode would have done well to follow Spike and Angel around with a different storyline. I can appreciate the humor in the episode with the two of them running around Rome, but I think having them chasing a character that didn't actually appear was a letdown 🙁

I really can't get over the whole second half of season 4 of AtS. Cordelia sleeping with Connor and going back and forth between him and the Fang Gang and....*grrrr*. On the bright side the bits with Faith in were fantastic. The show had been so good up to that point and was so good again in season 5, but *grrrr* again

When I go back and re-watch S4, I just can't believe they went the way they did with Cordy, Jasmine and that whole mess. I saw the series again for the first time a few months ago, and when I got to S4 and I remembered it being just terrible. But, being the dedicated Buffy fan that I am, I gave it another shot. And going through it again, the entire season is actually really good...up until Cordy just goes crazy and Jasmine starts doing her thing.

Sure, Connor was so annoying I wanted Angel to just knock him out most episodes, but the arcs with Angelus, Faith and even The Beast were all really fun to watch. And then it just went off the rails. For a good five or six episodes you're just sitting there going "what the hell am I watching?" And then, just to confuse you even more, they hit it out of the park with the S4 finale. So what the hell happened?

I can think of lots of episodes that really bug me. The first episode that comes to mind is When She Was Bad. I get that Buffy went through a traumatic experience, but did she have to have an attitude here? She was so mean to everyone.

Another one is Something Blue. I like the episode but it does bug me. Willow is so out of character here. She's whinging that Buffy does not have time for her when she has to find Spike. Um, Buffy is the Slayer. Spike is the bad guy. Willow of all people should know this.

As You Were-what was the point of bringing back Riley? Tell me.

Empty Places-for the Scoobies to turn against Buffy is wrong.

For Buffy - I hate restless, I don't know why but I hate that episode and I skip it on rewatches
I, too, don't like Restless, dreams sequences are just boring & usually just pretentious, I love pretentious Joss when he tries to do something new most of the time, but here it just wasn't it, I like my finales to be big & explosive, even Primeval didn't do it for me .. If I had watched that episode on TV I would've been so mad ..

However hearing Joss talk about the episode on the DVD commentaries made me appreciate it more!
