Are there still Potentials after Willow's spell in 'Chosen'?

I was reading a recent post in this thread and it got me thinking about something else: Brainbuster from This Year's Girl

You can really be a potential at any age, right? 'Cause girls are born as potentials; it's not like they become one over time. So that means there's new-born potentials here and there. So what happens to the potentials that weren't born yet when Willow casted her spell to make all potentials into Slayers? They're still potentials, right? And when Faith dies, does one of these new-born potentials become the Slayer, or will one of the already-Slayers become 'The Slayer?' Just some questions I would like opinions on because I don't have much of a clue myself.
 
my guess is that the spell Willow did only activated potentials of a certain age range. So there are still potentials that are under like 12, and over 30, or somewhere around there. My guess is that only Faith has the trigger to activate another slayer. Once all the current slayers are killed, they won't all be replacd by another slayer, so a generation from now, there won't be an army of slayers.
 
But what about when all those Slayers die? I agree with WatcherWes about the age range thing 'cause that makes sense, otherwise, there'll be babies bending steel...
 
I think that none of the slayers except for Faith have a trigger. I don't forsee Faith dying before the next generation is ready. And I think the next generation will be potentials, not untrained slayers. So only one of them will be the slayer, unless the spell is performed again.
 
yeah imagine getting that baby cranky lol i guess they are just born a slayer
 
If all the potential slayers have been activated in this generation, I would assume that as of the next generation things should return to normal. Faith is the only Slayer to have the triger to call the next slayer. So when she dies, hopefully a new generation of potentials has already begun. If she dies before that then that could mean the end of the slayer line. Faith can't pass on the trigger to a newly active slayer because they have already been called. Also the newly active slayers can't trigger another potential slayer after their death because there not The slayer. So eventually the slayer line should revert back to one Chosen One.
 
I suggested somewhile back that Slayermania will be over in say 30 years (going on the normal short life of a slayer)
 
Yes their still are potentials, because Willows spell only activated the potentials that were alive at the time, new potentials will be born but when Faith dies it will not go to those potentials, it will goto the Slayer who was suppose to get it after her then they will carry the torch.

Their probably will not be a Chosen One called for a long time because their has to be atleast 100 slayers now and in Fray it took a long time for a new Slayer to actually be called.

That's part of Buffy's speech form Chosen,and from what i can see it means that pretty much every potential will be activated and will become a slayer,No matter what age
 
So are you saying perhaps there are a lot of slayers now, but no new ones will emerge? Interesting.

I wondered about it sometime aswell, are there also potential-todlers and grannies that have now become slayers?
 
I think there are potentials out there who, thanks to Willow's spell, will automatically become Slayers when they reached a certain age - namely their early or mid-teens. I think this will always be the case from now on, until someone changes the Slayer lineage, again.

And no, I don't think that Faith's death will bring in the next group of Slayers. That particular system died when Willow cast her spell.
