Are you a shipper?

So, it's no surprise that quite a few of us on here can be defined as "shippers", in other words, that we advocate and support a certain relationship in the series, like Spike/Buffy or Angel/Buffy. While hardcore 'shippers can get fiercely protective, very involved, and sometimes hostile regarding their preferred 'ship, but shipping is and should be fun.

What I want to know is; do you ship any other couples from other shows? If so, whom are a few of your favorites and why?

Me, I tend to be attracted to the "darker" ships. A few of my favorite are;

Chuck/Blair - Gossip Girl

Christian/Kimber -Nip/Tuck

Nate/Brenda - Six Feet Under

Quinn/Puck - Glee

Brian/Justin - Queer as Folk

So, who are some of your favorite couples in TV and why do you support them?

The only couple I actually or actively ship is Bangel. However, there are other couples that I want/like to see together.

Josh/Donna - The West Wing

Pacey/Joey - Dawson's Creek

Meredith/Derek - Grey's Anatomy

Mark/Lexie -Grey's Anatomy

Starbuck/Lee - BSG

Lucas/Peyton - OTH

Naley - OTH

I'm only half way through the first season of Veronica Mars but I'm pretty sure that a) I ship Veronica/Weeval (Sp?) and b) that it will never ever happen.

I seem to gravitate to the "love of my life" type ships. Which makes V/W a very weird one for me lol

Well, I'm watching 'Bones', and am on the third season (but I got very spoiled for it, so I know a lot about what happens). Anyways, I really, really ship B&B. I also like Angela/Hodgins a lot.
And I ship Boyd/Saunders in 'Dollhouse'.

House/Cuddy - House (until the crazy went down)

Jeff/Britta -Community
Chuck/Sarah -Chuck
Bobby/Jules -Cougar Town
Kate/Baze - Life Unexpected
Lightman/Gillian -Lie to Me
Katara/Aang -Avatar The Last Airbender
JD/Elliot -Scrubs
Lois/Clark -Smallville

So... as you see most of them are endgame. That's the general trend.

Interesting! In terms of DH, the only people I 'ship are Paul/Mellie. I know many fans ship Paul/Echo, but I think she's better off alone - but that doesn't mean I wasn't completely sad for her when we found out what was taken from Paul.

Topher/Bennet was cute, too.

I don't really 'ship' relationships, although I do tend to prefer relationships that have their 'comic relief' moments e.g. Xanya or Holly/Fargo - A Town Called Eureka.

The only ship outside of the Buffyverse that I ship...hard, is Drarry haha but it's kind of a joke. I mean, if someone were to tell me that it's ridiculous and that they're clearly enemies, well their opinion would be valid. I'm not overprotective about any of my ships because people see things differently and I can respect/accept that. I might argue my point about a few of them, but that's because I love to debate...in a non-hostile manner 😉

I'm not a hardcore shipper, often times I enjoy several different parings for a certain character; but I have noticed that I tend to enjoy the "love of my life" type ships most. I think it is because those relationships tend to evoke the most emotion for me. I also really enjoy quirky unexpected ships.

I agree with HisMrs, I don't really ship. There's some pairings I really like on a uk show called casualty, but I haven't properly shipped since the Lara/patrick days! (Which are long gone and well missed)

I'm not a hardcore shipper, but I do prefer certain couples in certain shows. Sometimes I don't care about couples at all. Like Twin peaks, that's one of my favourite shows ever, but I don't really think of the couples at all, it's about other things there. But in other shows, I really feel for certain couples, and really, really want them to be together. The ones I can think of is:

- Juliet/Sawyer - Lost (my favourite couple next to Cangel! They actually remind me a lot of Cangel, and Kate/Sawyer reminds me a lot of Spuffy 🙂)

- Minnie/Franky - Skins s05

- Naomi/Emily - Skins s03 - 04

- Cassie/Sid - Skins s01 - 02

- Brittany/Santana - Glee (I'm so disappointed how the writers have handled them so far, they built it up like crazy and then it was just bleh and never really happened, but kinda happened?)

- Riker/Troi - Star trek TNG

no! where can i hear/read this? i have seen an amazing picture of martin's hand on benedict's thigh, however haha.
