Are you going on vacation this summer?

Me and my family are going to our home in Puerto Rico on Sunday. The bad part about this is that I have to wake up at 4:30 AM :frown3:.
 
I'm going to the Isle of Wight in August. It's a really great place to visit - the little diamond-shaped island in the south of England.

I need to pass my driving test before we go, otherwise we're going to have to squeeze six people into a five-person car. 😀 No pressure, heh.

I'm with you GrrArghx I have never been on a vacation either most likely wont do anything this summer. Most of my family lives in same state. This summer I will be finishing up some things and relaxing.
 
Okay seriously...how can you have never been on vacation?
I understand that some families don't have the money to go to fancy hotels abroad and whatnot, but not even camp? When I was younger, I often went on these 2 week summer trips with curch groups. Usually they went to somewhere in North Germany near the Sea (so for us it was staying in our country), so nothing ridiculously fancy, but they were fun. And as far as I remember, because we went with these church groups, it was really really affordable for everyone. Don't you have programmes like that in the US?


This year, I'll probably go to Denmark for a week with my parents. Will be kinda lame cos most likely, they won't let me do what I want, but I've never been to Denmark, and they'll pay everything, so I'm game.

I hate camping. Not a nature type of girl, lol.

Lol, neither am I ;) But yeah, like going away with church groups and stuff...we always stayed in youth hostels and went to the beach, something like that? ;)
Actually, I am.

I'm gonna go visit my family in Germany at the end of month 7. Don't worry, I'll use the computer, my cousin has one.😀

In the end of October, I'm going with my class on the trip Italy-Spain-France. I won't have my laptop with me, but I'll be sure to take as many pictures as possible.😀

I don't know if I'm gonna go to sea side this year, I'm rethinking it.

Where in Germany actually?
 
We have a grandson scheduled to make his first appearance around August 1st, so any sort of vacation this summer is pretty much limited to an occasional day trip to Atlanta or Chattanooga, and not even that in the next few weeks. Next year, I would like to take the children to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky, and maybe my wife and I and her brother and his wife taking a trip through the Southwest, and maybe all the way across the country and up the West Coast.
 
I went on a roadtrip to California with my family a couple weeks ago. We saw the Grand Canyon/Painted Desert, giant Sequoiah trees at Yosemite National Park, and the Pacific Coast. It was nice. I also usually visit relatives out-of-state about three times during the summer.
 
I'm in Vegas right now suckers 😛

Although it is my first holiday in 3 years. And no, it's not so dull I have to come on BB to entertain myself, my friend is having a nap!
 
I hate camping and so do my parents, the only one who likes it is my little sister, so we always sleep in five stars resorts or hotels 😀

Going to Turkey this year. For 15 days.

I'm going back to Finland at the beginning of July for a good long holiday and also taking a road trip up to northern Finland to a rock festival. I cannot wait as its been ages since I've been to a decent festival.
 
I'm not going anywhere but back to my home town/village. Not that I could afford a big vacation but I probably hadn't gone anywhere if I could.

I love nature for most part and when I was young I didn't mind camping at all. But the older I get the more picky I get. I'm sure I could go comping again but it probably take a little while before getting into that kind of lifestyle. I'll have to stick to walks in the forest. 😉

Which is always nice if you have the money for it. Not everyone do though.
 
I always go on tons of vacations throughout the year, especially during summertime. But this year? Don't really feel like it. I was going to go on a cruise, but... That expedition was canceled. 😛 Don't ask lol.

If anything I'll go to Wisconsin, or maybe Florida. But I go to both places so often, it'll be pretty boring. (sw)

You go to Florida that is very cool. The only thing about Florida is it is so hot. The air conditioner isn't helping much lol.
For me vacation is about being able to stay home for a few weeks doing nothing.

Travelling is overrated.
I can do it for some special event, like seeing a cool band or something. Go away for a week or two just being a tourist bores me though.

Nope not going anywhere this year, could of, but I'm going to Hallowhedon instead
 
I cannot afford to go on holiday this year but i am hoping that i will be able to save up enough money to go away on a girly holiday next summer.
