I LOVE this episode. I have recently begun rewatching all my Angel DVDs and I had forgotten how sad but awesome this episode is. It broke my heart all over again when I saw it yesterday. The part at the end where Judy was so excited to go out but then died before she could had me in tears. 🙁

This is my very favorite Angel episode :)
I thought it was awesome that we got to see more of Angel's story - how he struggled with his soul and still wasn't a "perfect person" even when he had his soul. Point being that everyone makes mistakes & that he got himself a real good bit of real-estate on-top of it!

& yeah, it was really sad at the end.
 
This is one of my favorite ANGEL episodes. I just watched it earlier and tonight was the first time I noticed the bottle of blood he pulled out of the bag had human blood printed on it. It looked like there was something before it but I couldn't tell.

I'm not positive, but I think that the idea of living off of animal blood on a permanent basis never occurred to Angel until Whistler suggested it. Up until then, he probably managed to by or steal blood from local blood banks.
This was a great episode. Angel at it's best I think. The whole 50's vibe and the Communism paranoia era was a really cool setting, I loved that idea.
 
I think it was a great episode, it was different and you got to see Angel's dealing more with real people then monsters or anything like that, yet still he ended up with everyone attacking him
 
i really enjoyed this epp the fact that even with his soul he still struggled made me think i really enjoyed it and i need to finnish watching them im up to season 4
 
I love this episode. The last scene was so sad, but Angel was so cute.

I don't know what it is but I never get into this episode. I know a lot of people see it as one of the best (as it shows also in this thread) but for me it would defenitely not get into a top 20 of favourite episodes. Not that favourite has to mean best but still. But I don't hate it or anything. That's something at least isn't it? 😉
 
I really didn't like it.
I know that puts me in a major minority but I thought it was kinda boring. I guess it's just not my kinda of thing...although it kinda is so I'm not quite sure why I don't like it...(that probably made no sence).
It was just lasking something for me.

I like how this episode fits in with what he said to Faith about he once believed people only existed to hurt one another. It also explains that Angel didn't just do nothing for 90 years before meeting Buffy, apart from eating rats. It also shows that the character is not just about being good and broody or soulless and evil, there are gradients to his character. He's not hthe sort just to do good without questioning it, he needs to have a fundamental belief in what he's doing. His becoming in Sunnydale wasn't just about Buffy showing him that he can be someone, it was about seeing that mankind can genuinley try to be better people.
