I dont think it's heavily implied, I think its fact. Especially when the question was "was it empowering women" Whom better to answer if it was empowering for them (a woman) than an actual woman.

It doesnt mean that every answer given is right, but every answer is more qualified than my answering the question.
 
The act of being empowered isn't inherently an exclusively female thing.
There are groups of men who have, thoughout history, being disenfranchised/denied rights and choices.

No one claimed it was. But again, when the question was is it empowering women, you do kinda expect to consider and give me validation to a womans answer. If the question was is it empowering to offspring of Irish Catholics, then their answer would be more valid.

I cannot answer if it was or was not empowering to women, because I am not one, thats why I asked the question. 
I did not mean to imply your comments were not welcomed, thetopher. I just meant on the condition of the original question a female answer carries more weight.
