Arguments waiting to happen

Was there any argument you just wanted to happen so the charries involved could just move on?

Myself i wished for a Spike/Dawn confrontation.

The one I wanted to see started to happen in "Selfless" but then stopped (cause that really wasn't the point of the episode):
Buffy: Do you remember giving me Willow's message? Kick his ass?

I was so mad at Xander about that whole thing I really wanted them to get into a knock-down drag-out over it.

I agree about Dawn and Spike. I always thought they deserved a chance to work that out (or, you know, not, depending on how the fight went).

Definitely agree with BB about the Xander/Buffy thing, that always did bother me that there wasn't any kind of on-screen followup to that.

Also would have liked to see Buffy/Willow talk about bringing her back, Willow/Angel about his leaving (I was surprised they didn't have Willow saying anything to him), a direct Giles/Spike confrontation near the end, and I was always surprised too at how Dawn and Giles and Buffy and Dawn never really talked about the fact that they might have had to kill her. I guess it didn't fit in with the plot, though.

I always wanted Spike and Riley to meet after the chip had been removed just so Spike could kick the crap out of him.

Not really a confrontation, more an explanation, but I always wanted to see a conversation between Cordy and Connor about what happened in s4 (them sleeping together etc.) and her explaining that it wasn't her. But hey, that couldn't happen cuz she's dead and he couldn't remember...

I always wanted to see Buffy hav a go at Angel about sleeping with Darla, and him revealing to her that he had a son!

Bak in BTVS s2 I wanted Oz 2 hav a go at Xander about he and Willow cheating..

And.. like someone said before, I wanted to see Xander and Buffy argue about the "Kick his ass" thing.

I don't know why, but i've always wanted to see the confrontation/conversation between Cordy and Buffy if buffy ever realised about Cordy/Angel, I mean it all comes full circle from s1 BtVS and "mmm..salty goodness", it would have been an interesting scene.

I kinda have a list of confrontations we never saw.

Number 1 being the afore mention 'Kick his ass' moment from Becoming part II. They lightly touched on it in Selfless but I want to see it fully thrashed out. Xander's got some 'splaining to do.

I'd like to see Angel and Giles square off. Over everything Angelus did to Giles and also because what Giles didn't do in Angel Season 5.

Angel confront Spike over what happened with Buffy, what really happened. I can't see him letting the attempted rape pass if he found out about it.

Buffy calling Willow out on bringing her back from the dead.

Buffy finding out about Connor. This I would pay to see!

Also I would LOVE to see how Buffy woul react if she found out about Angel taking the day back in I Will Remember You.

Finally, and this is a huge one for me, I want Buffy to confront the Scoobies for throwing her out.

Ok, now I want to add both of those to my list, the scenes that are flashing through my head now are just too good, I wish we could just stick Joss in a room and have him write out all the loose ends we need tied up.

Other than all others that people have mentioned there is one more thing I would have liked to see and I can't actually remember what episode it was (might have been Lies my parents told me?) when Giles distracts Buffy so Robin can kill Spike. I think it may have actually been in the script but was then cut, but I would have liked to see Giles confess about killing Ben and to see what Buffy says about it.

I actually wanted to see more of Buffy and Joyce's discussion about her being the Slayer. I mean, sure, Buffy was in a big hurry, what with saving the world and all, but it bugged me that their confrontation was kept so short. Buffy just sort of said "I'm a vampire slayer" without explaining anything...Joyce still didn't know about Angel, her past world-saving efforts, her powers, and how long it'd been going on. The strangest part was that, in season 3, she knew everything about Buffy's slaying. Perhaps Giles told her? Even if he did, I would've liked to see how Giles explained it and how Joyce reacted, particularly after hearing about Angel being a vampire.

Also, I agree 100% with the "kick his ass" thing, as many others have mentioned.

A confrontation that should have happened.
Buffy aired her doubts about Willow, Spike, etc to Robin Wood.
Maybe if she'd been a bit more upfront with her doubts and confronted those people, they and the potentials wouldn't have chosen not to follow her.

Giles told Buffy to behave like a general.
Was he avoiding the real problem, if he hadn't got on his 'better than thou' kick about Spike, and actually looked at the bigger picture. He could've diffused the whole situation.
That would have helped Buffy be a good general.

well I would have liked to see Joyce confront Giles more about him being Buffy's watcher. The fact of the matter was he knew all about her daughter and the danger she was in. And as a mom myself I would have a serious problem with that LOL

I also would have liked to see someone from the scoobies go off on Jonathan for teaming up with the Trio. I mean isnt he the one that gave her the award at school for saving everyone lives? And then he teams up to destroy her? Not cool.

I would have liked to see Andrew angrier at Warren for Killing Jonathan.

I would like to have seen Willow completely bitch out Oz for him cheating on her with the other warewolf girl and then him making the decision to leave! Or Buffy at least. GRRRRRRRR

A Xander/Faith scene in S7 where they discuss Faith's attempted rape/murder in Consequences, which I always thought was more important than the Spike/Faith scene we were shown.

Maybe it's because I hate Cangel, but I always wanted Buffy to lay the smackdown on Cordy for the whole Cangel thing. Also, part demon vs slayer- could be interesting, and I could imagine it becoming b*tchfight with scratching and hair pulling! [And yay Lily for mentioning it too!!]

Also, Season 7, Buffy briefly mentions locking Spike and Angel, locked in a room, wrestling it out, and she mentioned mud or something like that being involved? (or oil?? I dont remember off the top of my head and im too lazy to look for it). But that I would have LOVED to see.
Yes, I know there were Spike & Angel facing off moments in Season 5 of Angel, but its not quite the same as Buffy's idea- and how many of you could say no to the image of those two, shirtless, wrestling in mud?? I'm not saying no!!!

I agree with everything except that "Angel confronts Spike" thing. It would be too much like that old pot and kettle analogy. Angel did far worse without his soul than Spike ever did, either in general or to Buffy in particular.

I think the Kick His Ass bit would have been better explained and dealt with in S3, I don't know why the writers never brought it up, maybe because they didn't think it was important? Buffy would have killed Angel whether Xander delivered the message or not, because Angelus pulled the sword out of the rock while Buffy was busy fighting the vampires.

it was oil🙂, but if they want to wrestle in mud then that would be A-ok too.
