Two of my all time favorite pieces of art are 'Persistence of Memory' by Dali (here's a picture: http://www.printsplus.com/catalog/images/museum/persistence-of-memory-lg.jpg) and 'Magdalegne With a Flame' by la Tour (here's a picture: http://www.kfki.hu/~arthp/art/l/la_tour/georges/1/09magdam.jpg), but besides them, I love Monet, Manet, and Mondrian.

As painter, I like impressionists painters.
In literature, Shakespeare is the master, lol, but Tolkien isn't far behind him ( he is the master a fantasy & Shakespeare the one of theatre play).

i like too much stuff in art to name all.. and its all too deversified! i love dali, malevitch.. i like fantasy art and romantism.. and chichkine (paintings of russian forests).. yeah and konstantine vassiliev as well..

as for authors.. again too deversified! i like fantasy and sci-fi (tolkien, jordan, strugatskie brothers..) and i like detectives as well (christie, boris akunin) and classics.. tolstoi, bulgakov..

It was very hard to decide which were my favourites....

Art : I've always liked French impressionists but Rubens is still feels like coming home. It was the first painter I learned to appreciate, probably because I was born and lived in his town, Antwerpen, in Belgium.

As for Literature: Too many to name them all but Shakespeare, Jules Verne, Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, George Simenon and Saramago are the ones I always go back to. I know they are all european, but I'm just a European girl, what can I say ?

Dali in art, I've been to his museum and his out house, both in spain. And in literature it has to be Shakespear. I also like Monet a lot and van Gogh's and Gaugin.

I have no interest in Art at all, that being because I am so awful at it. I say I am one of the worst drawer's around, hehe.
