AS/A levels anyone?

I was just wondering if anyone else here on the boards are facing the terrible A level end of year exams. I am my first one is sociology:research methods and is on the 14th (at least i think it is i know its a week on tuesday)

I'm really worried though and my exam timetable sucks, in one day i have five exams in one day, which is the maximum number of exams you can do in a day. The five exams I have is philosophy unit 1,2 and 3 and economics unit 2 and 3. As sad as it sounds I'm really looking forward to my economics exam because I love it and find it so interesting whereas with philosophy I'm so going to fail because we are doing all three exams instead of doing one of them last january and there is too much to learn and know and so much of it just doesn't make sense to me.

And I'm resitting psychology unit 1 (because i got a C and my teacher said my target grade is a B) along with unit 2/3. Although I am not really confident with psychology I think I'll do ok and I only need a C to get in the uni i want to, so its all good.

In conclusion, what exams are you doing, are you as nervous as I am and are you wishing that you listened to all your teachers when they said we should have started revising a month ago lol
 
Ah, I feel for ya! But whoa, five exams in one day? That's insane! Seriously... But then again, I'm not used to that kind of stuff. I'm graduating thing year, from "gymnasium" (high school, kind of), and I haven't got any exams at all... In a way I wish I had 'cause I'm better at that stuff than the actual learning. But yea, I don't believe in exams and tests and stuff... hm.
Anyways, I wish you all the luck Xin Rong! I'm sure you'll do great 🙂

i only ahve mine in June, and July, 4 in a week, Geology, Quemistry, Biology and Math... i only need good grade on math one to enter teh college i want, but i do understand your worrysome.. just try to relax before them.. (this coming from miss nervous..) but i'm shure your gonna ace them. good luck 🙂
 
You'll be okay Xin Rong! Just take a breath.

I am lucky in the fact that I do not have any finals this semester. I am student teaching this semester, so all I have to do is just finish my last three days next week (M,W,Th) and I'm finished.

Good luck to anyone who does have finals though. They really suck.
 
I did my As's last year but dropped out of college this year. Don't worry about it hun, it's quick and painless 😉

You're so lucky! what do you want to do? I need AAA to get into the uni I want. I'm going to study English Literature.

Yep As levels done! (thanks the lord!) English Lit, History, Biology, French and general studies

A2s coming up English lit, History, Biology and general studies.

I'm so worried about History, it's so difficult and the grades I need leave me no room for manouver.

Howver English, really I'm just revising so I wont be backward at uni, I've done A2 one course work mod and I've recently worked out I dont even need to sit the remaining two exams to get a C! that was comforting...but history...stupid subject!

I want to be an accountant and I really want to go nottingham trent university because I dont really want to go to a really good uni because after i left school i went to a really good college and i just could not fit in, they where all kind of posh and i was just common lol!!!

Lol yea I understand you, but they don't all have to be that way, just 'cause they're good, do they? (Or maybe they do? I wouldn't know, heh...)
 
I never thought I would hear myself say this but I miss exams. When doing my degree I hated them, but now when i'm doing essay after essay after essay it gets ontop of me.

So yes I can't wait to do exams again!
 
yeah...totally feel faith...exams are way easier than essays...good luck yall with all your exams...i just finished mine...pretty much i'm free...it's been a long long year...but...i learned so much...outside of school...so...i'm happy..
 
Exams blurgh, its all over the place at the moment like a flithy disease!

Had my Photography exam last Friday (officially, did work for it last Tues, Weds, Thurs, Yesterday, Today and will do more Tomorrow and Thurs) and that went okay. Kinda hit a slump in the middle but picked up now and I'm near completion 😀

Got a Film Studies exam in 2 weeks (crikes!) but its only an additional AS taken because.... it looks good? Will revise but not until this weekend when my photography is done.

Got 6 exam papers (2 each subject) in total. 2 in 2 weeks (as I said, film), then a month later in the course of a week 2 Eng Lang and 2 Media. Think I prefer coursework, got 100% for my Eng and Media coursework, so clearly Im ace at coursework.

Havn't started revising yet (been focusing on Photography) but I plan to do it during study leave. Thankfully I have good marks from last year/coursework to not have to rip my hair out about.
 
Kind of am...already had oral English and Polish exam and writeen:English,Polish and History..now just having Geography and I can go to the UK and have fu...mean start working!!!!woohooo!!
 
OMG I dont want to sound overly confident or big headed but i had my first exam (sociology: research methods: unit 3) and I know i did really well, i knew every answer and I did essays brilliantly i just know i did, i'm sure i got an A, at least a B, im so pleased with myself, still got loads exams left, so wish me luck!!!
 
Good for you..on Monday I had my last final exam-in Geography..Now I just need to wait for results and hopefully will get into uni in the UK...
 
Hope you do!!! Exams are over now (well they where last week) did really well in sociology, ok in psychology, possibly failed philosophy and i'm unsure about my performance in economics. But not worried if worst comes to worst I'' go to the uni in my town of bolton where you only need E's to get in lol
 
I got two A's and two B's, the As for sociology and philosophy and the Bs for psychology and economics, so im dropping psych and continuing philosophy, which i ahte but am really good at it turns out, i even man aged to get 100% in two of my exams
