I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry, Happy and Fruitful Christmas and an even better (if that's possible) New Year.
I hope that the up and coming year is better than the last for you all, and that good fortune smiles upon all those that read this post.
On New Years Eve at the stroke of Midnight (no matter where you are) I hope that as the first verse of Auld Lang Syne rings out you all raise a glass to celebrate the coming year and perhaps spare a thought for those that aren't with us to see in 2009.
God Bless you all and if I'm not online after Dec. 26th, I'll speak to you all next year!
--
Auld Lang Syne - Robert Burns, 1788:
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind ?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days o' lang syne ?
CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp !
And surely I'll be mine !
And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We twa hae run about the braes,
And pu'd the gowans fine ;
But we've wander'd mony a weary foot,
Sin auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We twa hae paidl'd i' the burn,
Frae morning sun till dine ;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin auld lang syne.
CHORUS
And there's a hand, my trusty fiere !
And gie's a hand o' thine !
And we'll tak a right gude-willy waught,
For auld lang syne.
CHORUS
