It should have been on CBS or something else other than a crap teen filled network like the CW

I don't know what The Ringer Creators were thinking shipping the show to the CW. I mean really? It's like suicide for this show imo.

Honestly if "Ringer" gets cancelled, we better get another show to go down with us. I'm not having an awesome show like "Ringer" go down to Hell without another show coming with them imo.

I mean don't we have enough chick flick type shows like 90210, Heart of Dixie already? "Ringer" was something fresh. 90210 has had it's run it should be ending like SOON it's like boring as Hell imo.

Also Gossip Girl is not even a good show anymore not after Momsen left the show. Out of all the shows that should be cancelled with "Ringer" (I don't want Ringer to be cancelled) but to be fair, 90210 should be cancelled with Ringer. Two birds with one stone tbh.

I need my Sarah Michelle Gellar fix every Tuesday night. When Buffy/Angel series were popular when it came on in the States, I was a little kid so I didnt fully watch both series until I got older and had the money to buy them on DVD.

Maybe they didn't have a choice of networks, CW may have been the only one to pick it up. Would you rather have it on CW then not at all!

I wouldn't miss Ringer, sorry, if it got cancelled but I get your thinking. As nightshade pointed out, sometimes you don't have much choice when it comes to picking/getting a network. Dollhouse on FOX never seemed to be the best fit either.

It seems I don't watch many CW shows. Which ones air together with Ringer and how are their ratings?

Ringer is great! But I totally agree - it's the wrong network. The shows surrounding it do NOT mesh lol

I think Ringer is going to survive. 90210 is in the slot either before or after it or something and it's estimated that as long as the ratings for Ringer are better than 90210, the show should survive. The ratings have been better than 90210 ever since Ringer started so I think we'll get the show sticking around which makes me happy. I truly enjoy Ringer and don't want to lose it. Having Sarah Michelle Gellar on my screen again is fun.

TV by the Number (who are usually pretty good with that kinda predictions), have it as likely to be cancelled.
I dont think they had a choice of what network, they were dropped by CBS and were saved by the CW.

I don't think it would have fit in on CBS, it doesn't quite hit the spot of being adulty enough to hang around there, and it does have a CW feel, but it's not teeny enough to fit in on the CW.

I think among the lowest on the CW are Hart of Dixie, Ringer, 90210 and Nikita.

I hope Nikita survives!

Cancellation would have probably been more likely on CBS. To be honest other networks pull the plug way faster it seems.

Look at Gossip Girl it has horrible ratings and on any other network it would have been cancelled. So that is a hopeful thing for Ringer plus Ringer has star power with Sarah.

In my opinion they should cancel 90210 & Gossip Girl and give newer shows a shot because if newer shows are getting better ratings that is the way to be. Plus those are not really critical successes.

CBS didn't want to pick it up. And The CW wanted to try and break out of the teenage stereotype. Honestly though, The CW's not that bad. Yes, there are some pretty bad shows on there... Like Gossip Girl. I will never understand how that show can be considered quality television at all. But there is also some pretty fantastic stuff like Ringer and Supernatural.

That said, I love Ringer... but I know why it's not as popular with the masses. It's got the amount of drama and unbelievably that daytime soaps have. It's why I watch it... because after AMC and OLTL got canceled, I needed this. It gives me this fix for over the top twists that never stop coming... A lot of people hate it. I love it.

I don't pretend to know what The CW is going to do. They cancel good shows and let bad ones go on. They cancel bad shows and let good shows go on. Honestly, how The CW thinks is a mystery to me. If it's canceled, I'll cry. if not, I'll be happy.

I think blaming the network if the show gets dropped is just fans making excuses. If the show is really good it should get picked up for a second season regardless of what network it's on. And the CW is really changing it's image, it's got Nikita which is one of the best shows on TV (watch me if you don't believe) and Supernatural, they are trying to appeal to many different demographics

I agree that Ringer would probably be more in danger on a main network like cbs. I have a soft spot for the CW/Wb despite their flaws because they take risks and have a variety of shows other than typical lawyer/cop/hospital/reality fair. A lot of shows I enjoy only continue because of that network....Buffy, Angel, Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, Ringer etc. Even shows I don't watch like Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill or Secret Circle are different and you wouldn't find on another network. Except for Fox, I don't even know why the main networks are even relevant anymore.

I have to admit that I only watch Ringer because my cousin's the EP and...SMG. If it doesn't last, I won't be surprised. It's kind of addicting and I want to know how things are going to unfold, but I don't expect it to last very long. I kind of feel as if it belongs on the CW 🙄 it reminds me of 90210 at times haha.

EP?
But really 😱 I don't get 90210 vibes from it. 90210 feels geared torwards pre-teens. With Ringer, the only thing I can see being 90210esque is Juliet and her storylines.

Must be awesome for your cousin to work as an executive producer on a show Sarah stars in!
