As You Were - Continuity Glitch?

How does Xander know Riley is married in 'As You Were'? Buffy, him, and Sam had just walked through the door, and as far as I know, Buffy hadn't told them yet. Unless Buffy called Xander on the way to the house? Anyone else notice this?

Considering (if I recall correctly) the whole 'family' was waiting at the door, one (or at least I) would have assumed Buffy called to say they had visitors.. and it would be safe to assume when Riley was mentioned marital status would be mentioned as well.

I'm pretty sure Xander says that Riley left a message on their machine, letting them know he was coming. And it's safe to assume that Riley also mentioned his wife was coming, too.

I'd say the bigger issue in that episode is how the hell Spike manages to become this "Doctor" who can sell these demons to foreign governments. The dude is basically shunned by the demon community for helping Buffy and killing other vampires, he never leaves Sunnydale throughout this time, and is shown throughout season four to be absolutely desperate for cash and blood but we're supposed to believe he can get access to these breeding demons and has high profile contacts to sell them to? Right.

Riley would have had to speak to some member of the gang directly at some point, because, how else would he have known where Buffy would be? Unless, of course, he, or some agency people were keeping tabs on her activities. That would also explain why he so conveniently just happened to have a complete set of Kevlar BDU's, including boots and gloves, in just her size, in the back of his military SUV. (which would fit in perfectly with my "Riley Set Spike Up Just To Break Up Him And Buffy. I swear, that man hated Spuffy almost as much as my favorite lady Bangel)
