For my next contribution to our Q & A feature, I managed to literally pin down Keith and ask him if he would be so kind as to do this for us. Believe me, it was not an easy feat to accomplish. I liken it to one of Hercules' trails or whatever, lol.

As you know, Keith became known to us as the vampire hunter Holtz during the third season of Angel, but he has many, many more credits to his name including The Equalizer, Roswell, Law and Order, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He is also an accomplished play write.

So, post all your burning questions here, and I'll be putting them to Keith within the next few weeks.

You're a goddess!
Hi Keith, thanks for doing this for us!

I have two questions.

1. You recently starred with the late Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight and shared one of the most intense scenes in the entire movie with him in that interrorgation room. What was it like filming that scene? Was it as intense as it seemed?

2. Did you enjoy playing Holtz? What was your favourite Holtz moment?

Hello, Keith...

You do alot of voice acting; my question (in a few parts) is this: Was it difficult to teach yourself to be expressive strictly from the vocal inflections without the assistance of body language? And what of voice acting, if anything, have you taken to the screen?

Thanks!

Hi Keith!!

On screen you and David played mortal enemies. How did you get along offscreen?

What has been your favorite role of your career so far and why?

Hey Keith.

So I have this problem. I'm seeing this girl who's really cute but not that bright. Sometimes she says things and I just laugh. Other times, I wonder how she's survived as long as she has. I know this other girl. This one is really bright, but she looks like she's been run over with a truck, which then back up and ran over her a second time. I know she likes me, and I am impressed with her brain, but not much else about her. I guess the question I have to ask you is......when did this "Ask Keith" thing turn into an advice column. Honestly I'm having a hard time understanding this because all the other questions were about Angel and then this one comes along asking about choosing between girls. Speaking of choosing between girls though, don't you think Angel was better with Buffy than Cordelia?

Holtz was considered the Big Bad of Angel S3, but do you yourself see him as a bad guy?

Bumpety bump bump!
Lyri has kindly agreed to take up the reins with this again and as Keith has had a recent hit with a play in LA (I think...I could've read Lyri's PM wrongly) let's see if we can come up with anything interesting to ask him about Angel and beyond 🙂

Nope, you read it right. He had a played he's written, called Dark Tale, read on November 24, but it was actually in Chicago, not LA, my bad. The theatre was very interested in it, and I think he's currently going through some minor changes in it, but he is very excited.

When are we gonna get his answers?

I just got an email from Keith today, saying he is willing to start this whenever we are. So, I'm going to gather all the questions today and send them to him this evening. I'd give him a little while to get his answers to us, but he's very willing to do this, and we're just working through the kinks at the moment.

If anyone has anymore questions they'd like me to send, then please leave them! 😀

And on that note, I'm gonna add a question about his new play.

You've recently had a reading of your play, Dark Tale, in Chicago. Can you tell us a little bit about it, and the actors involved?

Did you think Holtz was morally right to do all that he did to Angel? Do you feel Holtz' philosophy was that of 'the ends justify the means' or did you feel his motivation was revenge through and through?

Do you hope to do more writing? If so, is there any particular topic or issue that you want to delve into?

Hello Mr. Szarabakja.

You starred on the short lived series Profit back in 1996.

A show that was DEFINITELY ahead of it's time, which got middle America's panties ALL in a bunch.

Thirteen yrs later, I'm still pissed at F0X for cancelling the show. Profit paved the way for EDGY shows like Nip/Tuck, Damages and now Mad Men.

what was it like working on the series, did the controversy suprise you?

Is it difficult personally to play a villain, especially in a show such as Angel with such an intense fanbase? (Is it hard to not take it personally when the other actors on set are reacting negatively towards your character, as the "bad guy"? Did you find that people "on the street" confused Keith with Holtz?)

I had internet problems yesterday and couldn't post this, but I'd like everyone to know that I've sent all the questions off to Keith, and I'm just waiting for his reply.
