Astronauts vs. Cavemen

A battle of intellect and cunning is a fight. When Kirk and Spock were both locked in mortal combat with one another there was very little physical violence yet it was still a fight. They just mainly danced back and forth with those giant q-tips.

Now you're just arguing semantics. It was heavily implied it was a fist fight.

Obviously not, since more than one person has made a comment that implies a fight other than a fist fight.

Spike makes a comment about the astronauts being "self analyzing" and Angel makes a comment about the cavemen's "superstitious fear". What place would those have in a fist fight?

Astronauts, they could do what Xander did and pull out a lighter andd go, "FIRE MAD!" Then the caveman would run away. Also to be an astronaut you have to be really physicaly fit and healthy so they could possibly over power the caveman. 😀

To me it depends on the situation. Mostly I'm on the side of the austronauts but lets say they get one cavemen and one astronaut into a boxing ring in nothing but shorts and somehow manage to get the cavemen to understand that it needs to fight/beat the astronaut and I'll most likely put my money on the cavemen. I'm just not sure it would work that way.

Cavemen are primal, they had a rage in them that can't be compared to modern day man.

Rage they do have, or had, but did they "use" it all the time. If they beat up or killed everything in sight a) there wouldn't be a human race and b) even if they somehow managed to get passed that we had never had evolved to the state of becoming astronauts. Don't think astornauts would have much to put up against a hord of angry cavemen so once again. It all comes down to the situation.

Are lighters considered a weapon? It isn't usually so why change it for this fight? What if we add a can of hairspray? Can the astronauts go all MacGyver on the cavemens asses? What about rocks? Not weapons as such and they're not manufactured as say lighters and hairspray. But they sure can be used as weapons. Etc, etc... Give me some rules! 😉

So you either have to get the cavemen in the mood, which would be cheating don't you think? Or wait until the astronaut make the cavemen angry enough. Maybe the astronaut will take advantage of that.
