Astronomers Say Dates for Zodiac Signs Are Wrong

This is one of the (many, many) reasons I haven't put any stock in star signs; the charts haven't kept up with the changes in the position of the Earth relative to the stars for the last, oh, *checks watch* 3,000 years.

Incidentally, though, I'm no longer a Virgo, but a Leo. So I went and read the personality summary thingy of Leos and went "BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Totally not me.

I'm a real typical Aquarian, apparently, so to switch now seems weird and awkward. I can't imagine anyone taking it seriously and switching their Zodiac signs.

Hey, does anyone have their Zodiac sign tattooed? If so, how do you feel now, if it's changed?
 
I just went and read descriptions of both my old (cancer) and 'new' (gemini). Well, I've never taken any of it seriously and I remember why. I read the description of Cancer and it's nothing like me. At all. The article goes on and on, listing various things and only one part in the whole thing feels like me at all.

Now, I went and read the Gemini one. Surprisingly, this is much more like me. Of course there were still parts that didn't fit, but it was much closer than Cancer ever was.

I did the same and I find that I'm actually a strange mixture of the two. Go figure.

Although, us Scorpios are, apparently, evil. Beware!

persevering - I can be. It depends on the situation. I can have a tendency to want to give up though... So I'd say no to this. Although I would love to be more persevering!
down-to-earth - This is another one that I have been told a million times before. Hearing "Cait, you're so down-to-earth" is like second nature to me! I pride myself on it.
stable - Hrmm... I wish I could say yes! I'm probably not though sadly 🙁
stubborn - Haha, okay yes. I can be at times. I generally tend to give in after awhile though because I don't really enjoy arguments. I'd rather spend my time talking about something else.
possessive - Yeppers. Probably the number one reason why my relationships never work and I could never have an 'open relationship'.
prosperous - Nope!
dependable - Nope! I can be for friends and family when it's important. Not usually though.

mental - haha, I guess they were getting at mental abilities here? I guess I'm pretty smart and enjoy thinking. If they mean the other kind of mental - oh yes, that to.
adaptable - Friends, family and colleagues have always said that I'm very much adaptable.
flexible - hehe, wouldn't you like to know 😉 Yes I'm pretty flexible although I get frustrated when people keep swapping plans on me. I tend to like set plans.
changeable - Totally!
responsive - I'm not sure what they mean by this?! I definitely have strong responses to situations. I'll get really upset, or laugh till I just about wet myself.
sociable - Definitely. I was talking to an old friend last night and she was saying that my best skill has always been my ability to work a room.
superficial - I'm one of the least superficial people out there. Plain inaccurate. And I haven't heard this about Gemini's before, so I'm thinking this could be wrong.

So... I'm guessing I'm definitely more Gemini than Taurus.

Astronomers - I say you are WRONG!

Now, sorry to go off on a rant here.. but um, did you all know that your horoscope can change throughout your life? While the typical horoscope is geared towards the date of your birth, it is said that life altering events can in fact change the date. Traumatic physical or psychological events like marriage can actually change your horoscope.

Haha, Cait! I'm also a Gemini who is now apparently a Taurus.

I don't particularly put much stock in this kinda stuff, but I prefer being a Gemini and I hope that it does end up that it only applies to those born after 2009. Oh well, since I "was" a Gemini on the cusp of Taurus, whenever I would read my star sign I would check out Taurus as well, so it doesn't make that much difference to me anyways I guess.

Hmmm so I apparently went from a Leo to a Cancer, and My son went from a Cancer to a Gemini and my fiancee went from a Gemini to a Taurus.

So heres my next thing... I am going to pretend I never read this... In my eyes anyone born before this was changed is still what they were lol... Which means I am still a leo, Jonathan is still a Cancer (which is good cause Jon tattoo'd a crab on his chest as a symbol of Jonathans Sign lol) and Jon is still a Gemini 😀 Good Good 😀 I'm so totally Ignoring this whole thing

This is seriously old news... I heard astronomers refuting astrology based on the change in axial position over 15 years ago, already.

By that new arrangement, I'd have gone from Gemini on the cusp of Cancer, to Taurus on the cusp of Gemini. Yeah, whatever, not buying it. I am so not an earth element character, lol.
 
Never believed these but they were fairly accurate for myself and a few friends, read up the new ones and they aren't as close.

lame.

Between this and Pluto not being a plant, why do things keep changing!

I'm still Leo because I'm freaking awesome. My sister, however, is no longer a Leo and is now a Cancer, I thought she was a good leo... I'm the epitome of my star sign so if I was not going to be included in Leo, I would throw out astronomy for good.
