I was wondering if Jobs was dropping that bomb today.

Mr. P? Full conversion may be coming sooner than I'd thought, LOL!

Looks cool.
I just can't see when I ever would have any use of it myself.

That looks ubercool. OMG. I'm in love with my iPhone; I might have to spring for his come income tax time! 😉

It's only $499 and yeah, I thought you would like it! I cant see myself ever getting one as they seem a bit big but who knows..

This is what I dont understand and where Apple really messed up; I bang my head saying 'why'

Unlike the iPhone which has both, the iPad comes in two different models-
one for Wi-Fi and one for 3G... WHY NOT MAKE ONE THAT DOES BOTH? Why do they want to segment their customer base? Did not do it with iPhone.. this makes no sense at all.

Perhaps for people like me who are maxed out on the number of phone lines in their family plans? If I decide for sure to get one of these, I'll have to get the Wi-Fi version. I wonder if they'll decide to combine Wi-Fi and 3 (or 4!) G in later models?

I spoke wrong, please forgive; they DO have a WiFi + 3G version for $900 (well, $829 but still)

Holy moly! I think I'll stick with the $500 Wi-Fi version!
I've been reading a thread on another forum, apparently you can't multitask on this? If so, that's a major oversight. And it doesn't have any USB ports?

I can't tell from my quick glance of the links, but does it have some sort of stand or dock? Because I can't see how that would be comfortable to use, unless you're sitting on a bed or sofa, with your knees up and it resting on them.

I was blinded by the 'ooh shiny!' aspect but looking closer, I dunno if it's as good as it looks...

You cant 'multitask' on an iPhone either, not really.. No, no USB but does offer flash memory. There is an external QWERTY which can be connect, however, it connects onto the iPad so the pad runs vertically and not horizontally (which to me is another mistake) in addition, there is no camera if you were wondering.
