At What Point Did You Fall In Love?

I saw the movie before I ever saw a single episode of the series, and I don't think that I ever really "fell in love" with either movie or series. I liked them both, and agree with most people here that "Firefly" was cancelled long before its potential was fully realized. (For some reason, my first though on seeing "Serenity" was what a really great fantasy scene it would have been to have Mal and Jim Kirk get acquainted over a few liters of Saurian Brandy. Or maybe Zoe and Lt Uhura. Scottie and Kaylee. Spock and Jayne. McCoy and Simon. Sorry, folks, old Trekkie here)

I actually tried to avoid this show as much as possible. I just thought space + western = no thank you.. I didnt like the premise and so I never sought the show out.. Like Buffy, I just decided to see what the fuss was about and I liked it immediately. I wasnt a huge fan of Kaylee, I liked Mal and Jayne (I think the Jayne centered episode probably sold it for me entirely and I thought Whedon awesome).. and I hated the Inara character and the sheppard, I think his name was.. But the show grew on me, fast. The travelling in space was easy to like as usual, but I was stunned by how much the western stuff added to the show.. great quality tv for sure..
