Sorry if this has been discussed before but at what point did you start to like/admire Wesley and accept him as part of the Angel team?

I always liked him for comic relief on Buffy s3 but I never had much respect for him or took him seriously til the Faith arc in Season 1. I was pretty upset over the death of Doyle and I was really missing the Angel/Cordelia/Doyle chemistry but I guess it took seeing Wesley getting tortured and being brave (something he never would have done on Buffy) to win me over to his character. There were lots of hints as to his character having some depth before that but that arc is what really won me over (plus how he trusted Angel over that special ops team the Watcher's Council sent).

I liked Wesley ever since he was on Btvs. In fact, he was one of the best in it that season.
For me its like this. On Buffy and seasons 1 2 and 3 of Angel, he was a great character. He was very funny and had good chemistry with people(especially Giles, Angel Gunn and Cordy) and although in these earlier seasons he was a bit of a wimp, he did have his moments where he took command or stood up for himself.
But after he stole Connor, and became a darker character, thats when i started to get bored with him. He suited being wimp Wes much more than cool Wes, and even though AI accepted him back into the fold, it was never the same. With serious Wes, there was no jokes, no closeness with other AI members and it just got boring very quickly.

I wanted Wes to be come a regular part of the team from the moment when Angel cooked him and Cordy breakfast - I can't remember the episode, it was not long after Wes arrived (could have even been his first ep??). It was just such a sweet scene.
