Ats or Btvs?

I always have trouble deciding which one I like best. They are both great, but I ended up voting for Angel; because as of lately that's the series I've been more interested in. Not only is Angel my favorite character, but I enjoy the entire series whereas with BTVS I only really enjoy about half of the series.

It's often difficult to leave your first love. Buffy was my introduction to the verse but Angel has slowly gone past Buffy when it comes to which I prefer.
Qualitywise I'm a bit torn. Buffy feel more uneven while Angel rarely reaches the heights that some Buffy episodes do in my mind. To me Buffy seem a bit easier to fall in love with but do that have anything to do with quality? Not to me. Both shows are much deeper that you might think at first sight and that's something I appriciate.

I love Buffy and have known it longer than Angel but Angel is my love. I love Angel so much it is just everything about it. I re-watch it most at times back to back without getting bored. I think it is the characters and their relationships. I love Buffy's characters but I think some of Angel's characters beat out by two points or so. I just love the dynamic and it is darker than Buffy at times.
I always compare new vamp shows with Angel and say does it beat Angel? Since that one may be my all time favorite. Although I will say it is kind of like they come hand in hand because my love for Buffy is pretty strong as well and they tie into each other.
