Well, there's one good reason why it will be hard for any of the cast of Buffy or Angel to win. By selecting no less than 3 characters from BtVS and AI (which might as well be one show for these purposes) they have created one hell of a splinter-vote.

Here's the problem... I edit out the commercials. I can't tape the episode automatically.

I fell asleep during a commercial half way through taping "This Year's Girl" the last time it went through the circuit. That particular episode is part of a two parter where Faith returns to Sunnydale after she comes out of her coma. If you miss the first part you can't tape the second. It will come out back to front.

So now I'm stuck in a situation where I have to wait for 6 seasons to run their cycle before I get a chance to tape them again.

This is why I was begging help to vote the two episodes into the marathon. I could jump the line.

I figure there's about 10 episodes that are "Gimmes". They'll be voted in for sure:

Rats...my "devious campaign" didn't work.

Oh well, I'll just wait till it comes around in reruns.

Too much trouble to download it. I have a slow connection. Also I want it for my video tape collection. Thank anyways, though.
 
Well, I would put up an FTP for you with the ep, but I guess that woudn't help anyway with a slow connection. (groan)

I could always feed it to my VCR and tape it, but I wonder how much tapes cost to send through the mail, or if you can get busted for it?
 
That's OK. Thank's anyways, but it sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth. I'll just wait for the episodes to come around on Space. Space plays them every day so they should be around in a couple of months.

I didn't know you could do that hard drive to VCR thing. That's interesting.

I should have done whatever the guy did that put the episode Family into the # 3 most selected position in the marathon. I'm thinking he must have used some kind of Zombie, bot, multiple PC voting scheme. Unfortunately that's beyond me too.

"The Gift" was number 4.

I was at the spacecast.com message boards today. They scooped me what I think is some great news for Canadian fans of Science/Fantasy.

Two new entries will be added to the fall lineup. They will be Dark Angel and Firefly. I don't know about you, but I'll have my VCR fired up, cleaned and ready.

Also Angel is coming back. They didn't say anything about the Buffy reruns though. Cross your fingers.
 
Here's some more news concerning the upcoming season on Space:

Stargate SG-I
Weekdays at 11am eastern, repeated weekdays at 8 pm eastern.

Buffy will move to weekdays at 10 pm easter and 3 am eastern.

Seasons 1-4 of Angel will run daily at 11pm and 4 am eastern.
 
Hmmm, them picking up Firefly is great. It's a shame it is so short. Buffy being moved two hours later in the day isn't really pleasing to me, but them now airing Angel daily is good news I guess. All very interesting, I assume they will air Angel Season 5 on Thursday at 9pm, or maybe it will be at 11pm as well as in the past it would follow Buffy. Firefly addition is good though, more publicity for the show is always beneficial. When does it start airing?
 
I'm looking forward to the opportunity of getting Dark Angel, and the early seasons of Angel on tape. It will be interesting to see SG 1 from the beginning, in one continuous daily stream also.

I hear there are some missing episodes of Firefly not seen on the original run. Maybe Space will give them to us.

I don't know exactly when the fall schedule starts. Guess I should check it out.

I really hope so... I also hope they show it in order this time. The 2 hour first spisode was considered too weak so the 2nd episode was used for the premiere
 
YES! I'm disappointed by the move to have Buffy 2 hours later, but I figure I'm going to own them all soon anyway (well, one and a half years is relatively "soon"). But Angel will be daily now! YES! I only just started watching in September, so I've seen NONE of season 2, and almost none of season 3.

And Firefly?! Nice! I never heard of it until after it was cancelled, so I finally get to see it!
