I don’t know how many on this board would be interested in this as there are only a few members, at least, that I know of who watch any of the mystery series on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. If that is the case I thought I would post it for those who want to know and might want to watch it. I was somewhat surprised as it has not been that long since the movie series was cancelled on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries when Candace Cameron Bure left.

I am not interested in this as I wanted more of what I had gotten of the movie series with Candace Cameron Bure playing Roe and Niall Mater playing Nick Miller with the other cast.

I found out that GAF CEO wanted to along with Candace Cameron Bure to continue the movie series. That may not be possible now after the prequel movie series that is going to air on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Any way zi Hope some want to discuss this.

The weird thing is that Hallmark said that there would be no more done with Aurora Teagarden movies. Another weird thing is that they didn’t get Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter to play a young Aurora Teagarden like she did in the last movie Haunted by Murder. I guess they wanted someone not connected to Candace Cameron Bure. The interesting thing is that they are still showing the original movies. I wonder if they are going to stop that. Were Aurora Teagarden Mysteries movie fans really clamoring for this or did Hallmark just want to capitalize on one of the most popular movie series on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries.

I love the Aurora Teagarden movies, and while Candace certainly is a great Aurora, I think this is a great idea to continue the franchise. They could’ve just recast and continued, which would’ve been weird. This is showing respect to the original set of movies, while finding away to carry on. If I can, I will definitely give this a try.

I like that they are staying in continuity by having Marilou Henner continue as Aurora's mom. I never saw the last film with Candace and her daughter, but I'm excited for this new prequel. IMO Candace can stay at GAC, where everyone is cookie cutter and there's no diversity.

I actually felt this was a bit…meh. No offense to Marilou, but it isn’t like she hasn’t aged during the last 18 movies. Seems weird to turn back the clock on Aurora, but keep her mom as old as she is in the films. It would be difficult to recast her though, I think she brings something unique to Aida, that would be tricky for another actress to match.

Seems weird to turn back the clock on Aurora, but keep her mom as old as she is in the films. It would be difficult to recast her though, I think she brings something unique to Aida, that would be tricky for another actress to match.

That was my first thought. When the emphasis was on a younger cast and they keep Marilu Henner as Roe’s Mom. My guess to younger up Marilu Henner will be make- up and younger- looking clothing. Not to mention younger looking hair style.
