Buffy slayed its rating rivals in Australia, with the screening of "Chosen" breaking viewing records for Channel Seven, which has screened all seven series of the hit US show since 1997. (looks like seven is their lucky number!)
Thirty-two per cent of TV viewers tuned in to Buffy trouncing The West Wing on rival Channel Nine, The Fat on ABC and Rove Live and Sports Tonight on Channel ten. An average of 241 985 people in Melbourne watched, a gain of 90 000 on the week before.
Meanwhile although no dates has yet been set for a DVD or VHS release of Buffy's seventh season in Australia, Seasons One to Six will be re-released in both formats on 22 October.
