Austin Powers VS Johnny English....who would win?

Last night i sat down to watch a rolicking good film.
Johnny English is THE epitome of Super-Spy without a clue. He is Incompetant to the point of imbecilic, intelligent with a hint of naive dumbness and brave beyond his means.
With powers of wit and repulsion on his side, this man is one of our greatest 'Secret Agents'...fave line

"The only thing that France is adept at hosting is an invasion."

I'm sorry...but i love eet....lol

Austin Powers on the other hand, he is a brash, crude Spy, with a flamboyance for the extreme, and slap-stick of the moment.
I do like Austin, i find some of his scenes amusing, but i wonder, he he only this popular because his nemesis, Dr Evil, is so brilliant.

Heres my point, trying to find an appropriate Austin quote, all i can find are sexual innuendo.....

"She's the village bicycle! Everybody's had a ride."

So.....who do you prefer....and what a great film would Jonny English vs Dr Evil...be?
 
Gotta be Austin Powers for me. I love Rowan Atkinson and thought Johnny English was hilarious but you just can't beat Austin Powers for laugh a minute gags.

Now, if you had said who would win between Wayne Campbell and Edmund Blackadder, that would be an entirely different story! 😀
 
I loved Blackadder, Mr Bean, and pretty much everything else that Rowan Atkinson's been involved with, but Johnny English was a big disappointment for me. There are some very funny moments, but mostly it just falls flat. On the other hand, the Austin Powers movies are mostly funny but with some flat moments. So it's Austen Powers all the way for me.

Mr Bean 2 has 'been announced'
I have nothing to spare for Mr Bean or Johnny English, however Blackadder was sorta perfect, bit that's not the point.

English was lame and nothing close the the icon Austin Powers is. Mr Powers would kick his little arse in no time.
 
I'd have to say Austin Powers would win. I saw Johnny English and I thought it was very funny but I enjoyed the Austin Powers movies more. Although, I wasn't too crazy about Goldmember.
