Australian Viewers finally get Tru Calling

Just last Friday (12 June) The Australian viewers got there first episode of Tru Calling!
I just wanted to tell everyone, as there might be a few Australian people who would like to watch this show. I for one am thrilled as around 2-3 months ago we were promised by TV Week and Channel 7 we would get it sometime this year.

We get our 2nd episode tonight in less than an hour! (woo 😀) I really liked the pilot, its gonna be a great series! And I do remember a while ago there was a show like this but she got the newspaper a day early and made sure those headlines didnt happen, like Back to the Future. Anyways, great show!
 
I was kind of thinking, do the Australian's get a forum to descuss? We started long after the UK did and I cant go to the US place cause I get spoiled and I cant go to the UK place either.
 
Where are you in the episodes?

Is there anyone else on here who would like such a forum?

Oh and are we talking Angel or TC?
 
Well thats why I posted, I didnt know whether there was any Tru Calling fans, So if I got any responses then maybe we could as an admin about it.
We have just seen 1x07.
And I wouldnt want a forum just for me, that would be selfish, and Id have no one to talk to!
 
Buffy Summers is an admin (well owner of the boards actually) and that's why she was asking you! 🙂

If there is enough response, then I'm sure a forum could be added.

Nope I am Canadian 😀 but I'm sure there are others from Australia on here...
 
Oh ohohoh! me!! :bounce: lol, australia is up to mid season because they just put it back on this week after the olympics. We have just seen ep 8 "Closure"

..When a young war hero is accidentally shot to death trying to leave a military hospital, Tru inadvertently aids his escape when she relives the day. She quickly learns that he has complications from a battle injury that could be fatal if not treated immediately. As she races to get the soldier the medical help he needs, she discovers he has a mission of his own: to find the girl he left behind and share what may be their final goodbye...
 
Yea and it was Ryan from Home and Away who ironicly is australian..
 
I cant even attempt spelling his last name it started with K and ended with N hang on ill look for an old magazine with his name in it..

heh me and my flatmate were both going OH MY GOD its the guy from home and away
and he was way hotter looking and sounding as an american (but then again, i love a man in uniform!)
 
I didnt really notice the accent, same with Julian McMahon on Charmed, he was so australian yet american.
 
I was browsing the official board this morning, and one Australian viewer reported that Channel 7 who air it have now stopped. According to her, she called them and asked them about it as they still have 2 episodes of the first season to air. She was told that although they have the rights to the show they do not plan in showing it anymore.

That is really bad, you let people watch the show all season and pull the final two episodes....obviously it makes sense in someones mind!
 
This is not the first time they have taken it away from us, it was on friday nights 8:30, for about half the season, then they rook it away from us for like 5 weeks and gave it to us in tuesday 9:30 (which I cant stay up and watch cause of the lateness 🙁) now they havent shown it this week, replaced by something called "Stephen Kings Kingdom Hospital" which goes for 2 hours, so I dont know if it is some sort of special or if the are taking it off for two weeks 🙁 Fingers crossed and it is only this one special.
 
I can't watch shows on TV because of these things, can't believe they do this to the fans... Swedish tv4 has bought the rights to show Tru Calling, but for some reason they aren't showing it (and don't seem to be planning to do so), can't see why..
