Even more disturbing is the fact that the teen mothers-to-be were inspired to take on this practice by the health warnings on Australian cigarette packs, some of which state that ‘smoking while pregnant can reduce the weight of your baby’. Rather than being deterred by this, they decided to embrace smoking as a way of keeping their unborn babies’ weight low in hopes of a less painful childbirth.

I just dont see how they can say pantone 448 is the ugliest color... it doesn't look bad in person

I like the color on certain vehicles... almost got it on my jeep... glad I didn't or some idiot might start sucking on my tailpipe if they make the color change.

Yeah, I don't think it's the ugliest color either. If you add a little orange to it, then maybe.
I kinda like it when I get a pack with "smoking may reduce the blood flow and causes impotence". Not because it doesn't affect me (well, it doesn't - my worser half doesn't smoke), mostly just because the little limp phallic cigarette makes me lawl.

I've been a pretty heavy to medium smoker since I was a teenager. As soon as I found out I was preg, I quit completely, no patches, no e-cig, cold turkey and didn't miss it. Which is weird, because a few months after the birth I started again. Sneaky mum cigarettes outside when the baby was asleep. Which means, obviously, I should just be pregnant forever. #logic #iamlogic #logicgoals
 
Hate to tell you Aussie teens, but you still have to birth it, whether it's 5lb or 10lb, it's still going to hurt.... 🙄And then it's your responsibility for 18 years. Smoking isn't going to make the sleepless nights any easier, or the bank balance any bigger. They're not handbags you can accessorise, they're living beings. And they're a bit of a miracle actually.

A single colour design would negate the warning that cigarettes are meant to be bad for you, it doesn't even say what's in the packet.
And who wrote the article, a government body, someone who wanted fifteen minutes of fame, someone by the name Spooks?
The warning, as this thread states, do not exist here and I live in Australia.
 
What a of bull!

Smoking has decreased here with introduction of plain packaging with warnings. It has had a positive effect.

This is no different to 20 yr old me specifically asking for the packet that "harms my child" cos I don't have child.


IT's A JOKE!


Now smokers continuing to smoke whilst pregnant is a real issue - plain selfish IMO - it's not hard to quit smoking, they pretend it is to sell gimmicks.
