Just came back from watching avatar in 3D, i am totally blown away right now.

For me its probably the movie of the year with Inglourious Basterds!!

For some reason, this one doesn't interest me.

Plus I don't care much for Sam Wothington, he was terrible in Terminator:Salvation.

Decent eye candy, but quite W00DEN.

Glad you enjoyed Avatar though.

The movie seems interesting enough but not sure I'll go watch it at the cinema. Had kind of forgotten about it (shows how much I care) but since they totally geeked out about it in Bones two weeks ago I got a good reminder. 🙂

I'm not sure if I want to see it or not. It looks quite good, but we discussed it in English class last week, and it kind of put me off it a little. I might go and see it, not 100% sure yet.

All i can say is even if it looks like the worst movie in the world give it a change, i'm really glad i did as i wasnt looking forward to it AT ALL.

I saw the movie late last night and even though I didn't see it in 3D, it was definitely worth the time and money. I mean the trailer definitely put me off a little, I thought it would be another cheesy high-budget film; I was completely took by surprise. The CGI was absolutely incredible, I mean the alien race in the film "Na'vi" looked entirely like-like. Even without the 3D glasses. Although, I think to go head-and-head with its graphics, the story could have been touched up a little better. I don't want to hype up the film, that tends to make good movies less good generally, but I'd like to suggest it. And there were definitely some parts that are predictable early on, but still. Wow. The world that Cameron and ALL of the movie's creators still resonates with me. This was by far better than this year's big and small blockbusters. If you want a good movie to see, for all your movie critics out there - go see this one!

By the way, I was actually dragged along with some friends to see this movie. I actually wanted to The Blind Side again again, and I know the film hasn't took off rocket-like financially, but I have a feeling by word of mouth.. this movie might end up surprising everybody like Titanic. Not really making predictions, just saying.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've seen a couple of trailers and a few clips. The special effects, from what little that I saw, give me real hope that their next project, "John Carter Of Mars," a movie taken from one of my all time favorite novels, will be equally impressive.

AHHHHHHHHH. I really wanted to see it but the theatre where I live is sold out for TWO freakin months.

There are way too many fellow geeks in this town.

aw i saw this on the day it came out.
one word. WOW.

It was weird there was like only 8 people in the cinema when i went, i think i was about the only female. ha!
I was really really tired when i saw it, so i could barely keep my eyes opened, i couldn't really concentrate that much.
So I'm gonna go see it again soon 🙂

There was a bit that i felt like laughing at, at the end she says something like ' Jake!' 'My Jake' or 'oh jake'
It sounded like Titanic. 'Jack' 'jack'
Lmfao.

Yeah, the movie is amazingly well made.
Can't believe how great all the CGI looked, they have taken it to a new level.

I saw the 3D version, first time I see a movie in 3D and it really works.
The glasses was very uncomfortable though... and when you like me already has glasses it feels silly to wear them on top of each other. 🙂

But it's not that big of a deal, it's very cool and it looks really awesome at times but I don't think it is a must to enjoy the movie.

It was also a good story. Sure, like so many movies a bit cheesy at times and like EmptyColours said also a bit predictable.
But overall really good one, I had a great time.

Now I want to know how they did the movie, want to see some behind the scenes stuff. I'm curious. 🙂

I agree totally about the 3-D glasses. Stacking them over my regular ones feels absolutely rediculous, plus. it is downright uncomfortable.
I told my friends I didn't wanna see it.
But I lied. It looks kind of interesting.
McDonalds, where I work, is selling the toys, and they light up, so I thought it couldn't be that bad.
I'll see it eventually.

This movie is as over hyped as New Moon. Why?

It would only be over-hype if the movie didn't live up to its claims. Avatar lives up to and surpasses its claims
Thumbs up for me, saw it with my sis to a fully packed out theatre on thursday night (we woulda went to the preview on wed night but it wouldnt have finished til gone midnight, and she's 10 and had school the following day.)

Cameron has been making other movies just not movie movies, he's been down the depths of the sea testing out spangly camera's.... anywhos, any hype this has it deserves and I wish them all the luck in getting bottoms on seats with it.

I wore the 3-D glasses ontop of my own glasses and they are comfortable, I have no problem with them in the slightest. Good thing is it cuts off the sides of my vision so i dont see other people figiting in the theatre, not that they were during this, but people have in other 3-D movies.... so its like just you and the movie, no distractions.

Another good things about the geeky Enid 3-D glasses.... nobody can see when you, or I get emotional...
