Avatars

I was looking at people's avs, and just started to wonder, do people generally choose avs that dipict characters of their genders?

I tend to stick to avs of females. I've had avs with men in them but they dont last long.

I've always had female avatars.. Might have to do with the fact that my favourite characters often are female (or almost always).. But I think I'd rather want a female on my av than a male..

I don't have a particular choice, I just go with what I want at that moment. Normally I change them quite often but this one has lasted a little while 😀

i have female.. and am a female, and if i should have a new av(which i prob won't 😉) i want one of the charmed ones or chris from charmed i have female avs in all my acounts on other boards, exept on charmed embrace, there i have chris pic...

I've had Wes for a while. I use Wes avatars because he's one of my favorite characters out of all the avatars. I had a very pretty shot of Buffy, but only because I thought it was pretty. My first avatar was Willow, the sweetest shot, because I love AH and Willow (and yes, the pic being great helped). Then I got into a whole string of Willow/Giles pics because I liked they way they looked together.

But I usually like sticking with my boys. I usually connect with them more than the girls (emphasis on 'usually')

At the mo' i have a female avvie. I just picked it because it looks cool and she's high up and light from behind and makes Buffy look all powerful. (Plus, the rest of the good ones were taken...lol)

I honestly don't know why I chose my avatars. I just have them. I normally chose them because they are cool and no ones has taken them already.😀

I seem to always have female avatars...I don't know why, but my avatars also always of buffy. But Buffy's my favorite character, so that might be why lol 😀

i tend to go with males.. e.g david or james.. at the mo' its both male and female.. cause well im in a bangel mood 🙂

I used to only go with female avs because I thought a particular female was really hot. But I think that confused people, so now I'm sticking with my gender and just going with the guy avs. It makes it a lot less confusing for people.

i had one of spike before this one. i like this one better. but anyhow, i'd probably go male on male (ha) but seeing how i have fancy colours moving about in my avatar, i chose the last option.

Even though I change my Avs at the drop of a dime, I've always had female ones. It's mostly because i know that I associate people with their Av's, so I don't want people to think I'm male 🙂

Had to think first what my avatar was.

Generally male (although sometimes im a female 😉) with a female av. But sometimes male, depends what I feel like. In theory I could have an avatar of the reply button but have yet to.

I associate myself with my Avs...so I pick one that I feel either resembles me, or resembles how I feel, so they are always female 😀

I almost always have female avs. The only time I don't is when I'm using avs of my fave ship.

I don't know why I pick my avs. I used to always have an av of Jen Garner because I think she's an incredible actress and I've got this av now of Jessica Biel because I'm really looking forward to the new Blade movie.

I've had a few different female avs and like Jenny said, I usually pick them becasue they reflect what mood I'm in.
