I have always been intrigued to find out whether we, Buffy-fans, are indeed above-averagely intelligent. There has been much speculation to that point. Judging from some of the serious discussions on these boards, I would be compelled to agree, but I guess it is time to put the theory to the test.

So, what is your IQ?

If you do not know yours, its ok, just sort of guess how smart you are. The higher, the smarter... 100 is the world average. Of course, this test is anonymous.

No... well, you actually get less smart as you grow older, but your IQ gets (or should be) compensated.
 
Well, I took some of those tests and they said I had a high IQ, but I don't believe in those tests, because you have to be fast and good at English to get high points. The first test I took, I got like 100-something cause I was stressed and didn't understand some of the words in the questions. But then I took some other tests and got way higher points. So, what I'm saying is, I dont believe in IQ.
 
Well, these internet tests aren't too accurate, but the basic principle of IQ is true. Also, if English isn't your native language the results of these tests might not be accurate... the first one warns for that.

Yeah that's what I mean. I'm sure they say something about you but I don't believe it says a lot.. really.. (Plus, when I took a Swedish test I had higher IQ so, obviously it's not that accurate, probably none of them..)
Mm, internet tests are unreliable. I've taken loads, and they seesawed by about 40 points. I'm gonna stick by this one though, because it's my favourite score so far...
 
I think & test French IQ and found out that I was actually improving with the number of test taken. So my thought about it is that the more tests you take the better you get. That's why there are books of IQ, just to train. :dance1: :jumping40
 
Depends on when you ask me...

They gave us an IQ test in highschool... I scored 89. This was however on a Monday, after my FIRST DATE, on Saturday. Plus on sunday night we had talked on the phone til about 1 am, and we were officially "going together". So I was all excited and couldnt even eat, much less take a test.

Point of the story is, love makes you stupid! 😉

In some class in college they gave us a test as some kind of experiment, and I scored like 115.

I wish I had the patience to take one of these tests. I had once and it was just depressing, don't think I did so well and most of the time I just get sick and tired of the questions half way through and picks random answers for the rest of the questions. It feels too much like I'm back in school with all the problem solving and I'm no fan of it.
 
Wow, we certainly are a bunch of really smart people! Do you think that other shows would show similar results?
 
Okay, even though I (as I've told you) don't believe in IQ and definitely not IQ tests online.. I've gotta say I do believe there are a lot of "smart" Buffy fans (from what I can see on boards like this one). I don't know about fans of other shows, but for some reason it wouldn't surprise me if there were more "smart" people that are fans of BtVS than some other show but.. (Then again, most people are fans of many shows. (Even though I am not really))
 
When we had a different school system, i think it was the tripartite system you had to do an IQ test in order to find out what school you where going too, however middle/upper class largely passed because they had special training which shows that you can be trained to get a high IQ, which i think isn't meant to be possible!

Wow i got 138, i'm so proud of myself lol i' in the top 2.5% of the population

My head hurts now. Stupid IQ test. I didn't finish it. Stupid questions about clocks being upside down and spelling words by taking letters out.

I would say I am at average. Most people are. There are only what, like 2% below avearge and 2% above average.

So, we are all most likely average.
 
I scored 149 on the general IQ tests. I personally, have ALWAYS been impressed with the level of intelligence I've seen among Buffy and Angel fans...especially considering the average age is quite young.
 
I took an IQ test when i was about 12 and got about 115 or something like that. So at least i know that when i'm staring at a bucket of water i can tell you its a bucket of water...kinda 🙂
 
I've never taken an IQ test and never will, I don't need a test to state how intelligent I am, I can't be that bad if I got my law degree. There are different areas in which someone can be intelligent in. When it comes to numbers i'm clueless, but in other areas i'm pretty sharp.
