Just in case you missed the latest article in The Slaying Times...

The nominations are now open for this year's BB awards. See the thread HERE for more information. Nominations close in a couple of weeks and shortly after that I will post the shortlists in polls so you can vote for your BB faves from 2006. After the polls, all being well, we will be holding the awards ceremony sometime in February, when the results will be announced.

BTW the BB staff are excluded from winning some of the awards because we want them to go to the members, so if you're not sure who is a mod click on the Forum Leaders link on the home page to check before you PM your noms to me.

Like I've said before, mods are excluded from some of the awards because we would like to see "normal" 😉 members recognised for them and feel that mods, as they are generally higher profile about the boards, would have an unfair advantage. Having said that, if OM and N4H, were eligible I'd hand them those awards like a shot...I can't think of anyone cooler or brainier 🙂

Poll results to be hidden during award polls

As happened last year, the results of board polls will be hidden for the duration of the award polls...so when the results are announced at the Buffiesâ„¢ 😉 ceremony it will be a lovely surprise for everyone. Apologies for any inconvenience that may cause and we will restore normal poll functions as soon as possible after they close.

I think that they were posted in Social Studies last year but, as the awards are going to feature the results of the House Cup this time, I thought that I'd post them in the Slaying Times forum. I will post an announcement in the BB News forum when I start posting the award poll threads, so best thing is to keep an eye on that.
 
will winners get funki banners? and will those banners be added to their sig allowance or included? just thinking ahead to banner making requests 🙂

Winners will get a groovy looking badge which will be added into their sig...a process that is a complete mystery to me but you can see what one of last year's looks like, as modelled by the lovely VisionGuy's post Here ...which reminds me, I have to PM someone about that...
 
Awards nominations now out!

The lists of BB Award nominees have now been posted in the Slaying Times forum - HERE

If any of the nominees don't want to take part please let me know in the next couple of days, either in that thread or by PM, and I will withdraw you from the list.
 
I've just finished setting up the Buffy Boards virtual theatre, you'll find it in the Social Studies forum...the BB Awards will be starting in there in a little under two hours...I'm just off over there to open the doors...I'll see you over HERE

since the voting and awards are over, why havent the polls come back to being visible again?
 
Ah, poor bitca4. You missed it. Too bad. You should have been there. It was fun. Oh well hang around. There will be another Awards ceremony next year. :thumbsup:
