Announcing the return of the BB member awards...*Loud fanfare*
After a few months hiatus I'm pleased to say that we are going to be starting up the ever popular awards again. There are a few changes...
...the awards will now be run on a quarterly basis, starting with January to March 2005. Before the start date I will be asking for nominations via PM. The five or six most nominated members will then be entered into a poll on which members can vote for their faves. The poll thread will be open to members to show why they think their candidate is most deserving (for example, "Pointy should win Best Mod because of these threads" - then post a link) but bashing will not be allowed. Members who win an award will not be eligible for it the next time it is run.
So, I am now inviting members to PM me with nominations for the following -
Best New Scooby - the new member who you think has made the best contribution to the boards since they joined.
Class Protector - the established member who has done most to help newbies or other members.
Sunnydale Art Gallery - the member whose artwork you like the most.
Storyteller - Your favourite BB fanfic writer.
Doyle - The most missed member (banned members are excluded from this)
Xander/Anya - The funniest member.
Nominations must be by PM to me and will close at 12 midnight UK time on Christmas Eve (24th December). I will then post a poll for each award in the Social Studies forum early in the New Year.
If you have any questions please post them in this thread.
Get your nominating caps on and have fun...
...oh yea, the prizes...will be pretty much the same as last time...a lovely, shiny badge to display in your profile for as long as you are the award holder and a mention in the Previous Winners thread once the torch is passed on to the next Chosen One 🙂 There may also be store points involved but I've only just thought of that and have to check with the Powers That Be that it can be done...

Also is there a specific date that a member needs to have joined after to be considered for the best new scooby award (what constitutes a new member)?

Glad to see the Awards back. I have no chance of winning any awards this time round either, I could qualify for the Doyle award I am not around a lot so I could be being missed. LOL Happy to see the awards back, thanks Pointy.

Those are the only categories. There will be new categories every quarter that have been selected by the staff. After this quarters' winners are decided, the next quarters categories will be announced soon thereafter.
These are the only categories for the current round of awards. There may be some different ones in the next lot. If you have any suggestions please PM me with them (but only if they are substantially different to the ones we already have 😉) Check out the previous Award Winners thread HERE and other Awards threads for an idea of the ones we have had previously.XxSlayerxX said:
