Awards

Nominations are now closed. I will post polls in Social Studies shortly where you can vote on the awards.
 
Does anyone else think it's weird that on a board with 4,000+ active member only 25-30 have voted on the polls???
 
I'm kinda doubting the entire 4000 active, it's more like 500 or something like that. Besides not all visit this or the Social Studies board.

In additon what's with the freaky sneak nominations?! You should definetley warn people about the fact that they might be nominated, not just let them stumble upon their own names in a poll, that's just freaky.

Every member should read this forum. That way, people will not be surprised or confused by things that happen on the boards.
 
Yeah something like that. Otherwise you never know what's happening, just seeing your name in a poll is strange. Here I thought you had created some sick and twisted version of Survivor and decieded to vote me of the island or something. But then I read the text. I guess that might be partly my problem (edit: kinda alot my problem, but there's so much to read and so little time), but still there aren't that many nominees and there are quite a lot of admins and moderators so a little pm wouldn't have hurt anyone, I think.

I think no one thought it would be a problem, and contrary to popular belief, the mods are busy. Which is why we have so many. 😉

But I am sure in the future people will be pmd.

I should be able to do that without much problem - Buffy, is there anyway I can set up a template PM for that purpose? It would save me a little work at nomination time😉
 
no really lol, other than to just copy and save to a text file on your hd. I think there used to be something on vb2 but I've not seen anything for vb3. I'll put the idea out there though maybe someone will code it for me. 🙂
 
I agree about the not "many people voting"-thing. Maybe they just don't care that much about the awards. Or (like me) don't read fanfics a lot.. or know enough about all the people who are nominated..? Don't know.
 
Even though I don't read ALL of the fanfics, I do have certain ones I like and I rewarded the person I thought wrote the best.

Speaking of Fanfics, I think Buffy may be nominated next time because your TOTS one is really good.

Thanks for that hon - saves me a job🙂 Yes, you're correct, the awards polls close on the 23rd. I will announce the results in a thread shortly after that, though they will be there for all to see in the voting threads and hopefully the winners will get their shiny new awards badges thereafter.
