My heart expands/'tis grown a bulge in it

Can we all say "McGonagall"? I think he was the inspiration for William's poetry - see here -LazyDolphin said:I voted that he really was bad, although there's something almost awe-inspiring about the type of horrendous forced-ryhme poetry that would rhyme "effulgent" with "in it". Yeah, it was awful, but it's the type of humorously overblown, self-important poetry that is best when written tongue-in-cheek by someone who gets the joke. And I'm with Chas...there's something endearing about that.

Certainly the Brit comedians of the sixties held a special place in their hearts for him - that's where I first encountered him, as probably did Terry Pratchett - see "The Wee Free Men"
In the words of Morrissey - "Frankly, Mr Shankly, you write bloody awful poetry..."

Pillow Willow said:Not really 'bad', but... Kinda boring. He used really wordy words... No one really wanted to sit through them, they were rather corny...
