B B Gathering

Having a gathering of Buffy Board members was mentioned in an earlier thread, and it just occurred to me that the Dragon Con is held every Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, Ga, and that it might be a good place for members in the area to meet. For those not familiar with it, the Dragon Con is the largest single Sci Fi/Fantasy convention in the United states.

Anybody that might be interested can find all sorts of information on the web as to who will be the guests this year.

Just an idea for folks to kick around. There's plenty of time before September.

I looked it up on Wikipedia. Is it basically Comic-Con?

Which is the nerdier of the two? lol

I'd like to go to one of those conventions, someday.

There's comic stuff there, certainly, but there's also movie, tv, a ton of authors in the scifi/fantasy field, plus all kinds of actors, director, and so on. I think most of the Buffy and Angel cast, except Sarah and David, have been there at one time or another. There's all kinds of merchandise, costume contests, amateur presentations, just about anything you could imagine. Plus, there's the new Georgia Aquarium, and just about any kind of shopping you might want, and Baseball, football, hockey...I guarantee whatever you want to do, you'll find a place to do it in Atlanta.

From what I've heard Comic-Con is hardly about comics at all anyway, ha. It seems there are panels for TV, movies, and books than anything.
