I'm a practical person, so I voted 'Yes', I loved knowing what I was having and asked with each of our five kids at my 18 week scan, although they will always tell you that they can't 100% guarantee it, it's usually right.
It was so much easier to plan everything, like names, nursery, clothes etc knowing if we were having a boy or a girl. Funnily enough though, I actually knew what I was having, I just 'sensed' it, and despite having 4 boys first, I still knew when I was pregnant with number 5, that I was carrying a girl. Although the confirmation at the scan helped make it reality 'lol'
It's also nice to refer to the bump as 'he' or 'she' rather than 'it' 😀
I guess though, if you want the surprise, your first pregnancy would be the one to do it with, as with the next, sometimes practical things have to come first and you need to know the sex before they are born.
You could always flip a coin as to whether you find our or not, or maybe ask them to write it down and put it in an envelope, and then make the decision later when you've had more time to think about whether you really want to know or not! 'lol'
