In Lessons the First as the Master tells us he's taking us back to the beginning.

We all assumed this meant back to the beginning of the Series.

Is it possible that isn't what he meant?

Remember in Get It Done, Buffy is chained in the cave awaiting Demon Power. The head Shadowman says something to the effect of "Here we are at the beginning".

Does that mean anything?

It might mean time is being turned back to a possibly former battle between good and evil.

Cause one of the shadowmen said "It is how it was, and how it must be again." or something.

Does that mean he speaks that the first was out once before when they created the slayer to possibly banish the first from the surface?

It might have something to do with this, but I don't have a solution yet, but I don't believe that the First was defeated because they made a Slayer!

No but the first is a part of the slayer the place they stod on when the demon mist was taking over Buffy is the hellmouth. The demon mist is some kind of source for the first that was required to defeat him.

I dunno maybe far stretched and my theory needs work but still 😀

EDIT:
Was supposed to say that the first is a part of the slayer not that the slayer is a part of the first. More like a part of the slayer is the first 🙂

That could work, as the slayers power came from a demon and demons are supossed to be all evil!

But you're still missing the point, that the Slayer wasn't created to defeat the First, but to as the title Vampire Slayer suggest, to slay vampires.

As the demon inside the vamp is probably a Turok-Han, that may have something to do with it! But I'm not sure it is!

but still what the shadowmen said insists that this in some way has happened before and not just with vampires but the whole needing power thing.

I think the shadowmen were speaking in terms of "Here we are at the beginning" because they were going to give Buffy the demon power like they did to the first slayer... force her to take the power and fight evil. The evil is so bad right now (THE FIRST) that they feel like they are starting all over again, and ready to do what that takes... making Buffy part demon like the beginning.

But I'm not sure what The Master was talking about going back to the beginning.

In the beginning, there was no Slayer. I assume the First Evil's intent is to return to that state of events. The shadowmen were most likely talking about a different beginning: the beginning of the line of Slayers. Which is of course later than the beginning of the First Evil.

Well if you want to end the line of all slayers all you got to do is stop them from creating the first slayer.

The problem being that the First Slayer was created a few thousand years ago already. If the First Evil could travel in time, it would probably already have done that, or at least made an attempt 🙂

Unless the opportunity recently presented itself 😉

Which is exactly what Beljoxa's Eye said in "Show Time"! 🙂😀

We still haven't even figured out what the eye meant by that. Or at least I don't😉 The First didn't cause this, it only acted upon the recent opportunity. It was a disruption in the Slayer line😀 How many disruptions have we seen by now, anyway?!::rolf::

Anyway, I'm sure all our questions should be answered soon, since there are only 6 more eps to go🙁😱

Exactly. Although I'm fairly certain that the First Evil will have the opportunity to end the line of Slayers rather than prevent it from starting at all. After all, it wouldn't have to hunt down the potentials if it could stop the First Slayer from being created 🙂

I wasn't really thinking along the same lines as you guys when I posted this thread, but the more I read what you are saying the more I think you might be on to something.

Razekial says this;

the place they stood on when the demon mist was taking over Buffy is the hellmouth.

If that were true it would be very interesting, because if you look at the Seal of Danza(l)thar you will see the Greek upper case symbols for Alpha and Omega--the beginning and the end. Could this mean end the line at the beginning. How that could be done, I haven't a clue.

(to be honest, it's kind of a warped version omega. Omegaish would be a better description)

Isnt it also possible that the first can exist in all times at once? That time does not have any effect on it? However it is still bound to laws of phsyics and logics, rules it must follow but can still find loopholes. Such as a recently presented opportunity that for some god knows what reason has appeared.

EDIT TO ADD:
Yes im aware of the irony where existing in different times simulteanously and being aware is illogical 😛

EDIT TO ADD 2:
I also have nothing to support this or why the first would be able to and why if he is able to hasnt stopped things sooner unless he has -- but failed. And yes Im calling it a he when its an it 😀

Wow that's deep. It's beyond me. All I was thinking of was maybe the first pares the slayer line down to one slayer, feeds the slayer back to the source, and it ends in the beginning (the source).
