yep...in michigan, hell, MI...good times...the world better not end tomorrow, i got stuff that i still wanna do.
on that note, my mother and my friend LA are refusing to leave the house tomorrw.

This date must come round once a century and I couldn't find anything on Wikipedia to say that anything particularly devilish had happened on previous occasions...fingers crossed for today not being evil then 🙂

FC9'S HELL, MICHIGAN
Days after announcing its formation, FC9 has revealed the details of its first ongoing monthly series -- HELL, Michigan -- which is scheduled to hit shelves in June.

HELL, Michigan teams writer Dan Jolley with artist Clint Hilinski to tell a story of horror in small town America where the horror is the town.

Here's how the book is described:

"Vampires, werewolves, flesh-eating zombies... You won't find any of them in the sleepy mid-western town of Hell, Michigan. But everyday citizens of Hell face something far worse. Something they can't see, but that is all around them. Something they can't touch, but that reaches through their very souls.

"Few realize what is really happening, and fewer still can resist the infernal temptations the town offers. It is up to those few strong-willed souls to save who they can, and to seek out other strong-willed individuals, luring them to HELL in hopes that the resistance can grow.

"But to the evil town of Hell, these resistance fighters are nothing more than an 'infestation of good' -- a cancer to be cut out-and the rest of its citizens are nothing but a fuel for its fires.

"And as the population dwindles, Hell's power grows."

"This is a comic book where our main character is the town itself. Think Christine, except instead of the car giving everyone trouble, it's the city," said FC9 founder Tilman Goins. "Just take a look around your house and think of the ways that it could kill you if it wanted to."

According to FC9, it is already in talks with a "top" movie producer to option the rights.

See i don't understand the big deal, i mean the date isnt even 06/06/06, its the 6th day of the 6th month of the year 2006....
Now, 2000 years ago, maybe i'd have though...humm, thats interesting, but now...nah
 
Agreed. A guy I know just got out of the Navy, but a bunch of his buddies shipped out today and apparently they were all freaking out about it being 6/6/06...
 
On the news tonight there was a story about a kid who got on Nexopia, and started making threats about how he was going to come to school, and spray everyone with bullets on 666. He got picked up and charged for uttering threats.
 
Yeah, i've heard countless warnings of 'End is Nigh' from sources that truly believe it....


Though i have read a couple of articles that have also 'predicted' 2 different Nuclear strikes on New York....one on the 9th of this month, one on the 19th.

The 9th is based on Bible codes(and we ALL know how exact they have been) and one is based on the facts that officials within the New York area are currently doing a 'safety drill' which they did just before 9/11..this one is slightly more(but not quite) believable as its based more on things thats happened....so if you live in NY, i think its time to stock up on water....FYI this second Nuke could just be a 'Dirty Bomb'😉

The end better not be near! I just set-up the patio furniture and tomorrow I'm planting my tomatoes so I can enjoy a nice toasted tomatoe sandwich on the patio in about 6 weeks.
So anytime after I enjoy a fresh from the garden tomatoe sandwich is good with me for the end or a nuclear attack.

Yeah it didn't end... oh well... now or later it'll happen someday... maybe martians are gonna make the planet disappear with some laser thing... that would be a loss for the devil... hehe... anyone saw the Omen yet?
 
06/06/06 eh? hee hee... nice poem kd. 🙂 very end of the worldy which is fitting for such a day... lol.

I haven't seen The Omen... and I don't know if I will. I'm hoping that it's a good remake if I do decide to go and see it.

kd is quoting a classic Creedence Clearwater Revival track (hence my comment about Mrs P's favourite band - HERE's a link to the Amazon page for their greatest hits - a cracking album btw)

I keep forgetting how old kd and I are...still you youngsters are in for a treat if you investigate the musical stylings of John Fogerty and Creedence 🙂 It's real, stripped-down, bluesy, old-school rock of the finest kind.

I read that there was a boy born Tuesday this week at the sixth hour(six am), on the sixth day of the sixth month weighing six pounds.....and they called him Damien and i'm not kidding.
