Hi everyone,
This is my first Buffy fanfic ever,so yayness for that.It's an Oz fanfic,and it tells a bit about what became of him after Sunnydale.It will take place around,oh,the middle of Season 7,but I'll warn you,it doesn't get Buffy-ish until Chapter 3:I have to sort of develop the characters in the 1st two chapters,lol.I only have time to post the prologue,and,if you guys think it's okay,I'll post the 1st chapter.All comments are welcome,good or bad.Please post your thoughts so I know whether or not to post the first chapter.Thanks!!

Prologue
I walked slowly down the alley,my hands in my pockets.It felt good to be alone.I began to hum a few bars of a song,when I heard a noise.I whirled around,looking to find no one behind me.I decided it must have been my imagination.I continued along in silence.Then I heard it again:the faint sound of someone coming toward me.I started to run,wanting to get home,get out of the night.Then,out of the shadows,cam a snarl.I froze,then backed up against the brick wall,scarely breathing.Directly across the alley,glowing eyes bore into me.

"Who's there?"I asked,trying to keep my voice from shaking.

The only reply was a long mournful howl,that pierced the night,and my heart.
 
Pretty good... But there's not much to go on. I'll give you a better opinion once you post the (much-anticipated) first chapter.

This one is short too, lol. Keep going. You made me laugh when you said the eyes bore into the character. I have an inside joke about that. Write more!

Chapter 1
The lights flashed wildly around me. The music pumped through the speakers, booming out over the crowd. I let out a scream of pure joy, and excitement. This was how I liked to spend most Saturday nights: at one of the local clubs with my two best friends. As "Californication" started, I brushed my chocolate locks away from my face and pushed through the crowd, looking for my friends. I finally made my way over to the bar and found one of my best friends, Shawn, sitting there. Shawn was a beautiful raven haired, pale girl who loved to party, but was a bit shy at times. As I sat down next to her, she squinted at me, which made me suspect she had had a bit too much to drink.

"Chris? I-is that you?" Her slurred speech confirmed my suspicions: Shawn was drunk.

I sighed. "Yeah, Shawn, it's me. Hey, maybe we should take you home. You look like you need a bit of re"¦" I began, but turned around quickly when I heard a fiery female voice behind me.

"Will you watch..out!? I'm walkin here! Shawn"¦Chris"¦WHERE"¦oh"¦there you are." I heard as an exasperated blonde sat down on the other side of Shawn, who now had her head down on the bar.

I couldn't help but smile. The blonde was none other than my other best friend, Bree. She had a very bad temper, and had a tendency to get into trouble, but she was a great friend. She and Shawn were almost complete opposites: Bree had blonde hair, was very energetic and outgoing, extremely tan, and, at the moment, she was hyper.

"Hey guys!" She greeted, bouncing up and down on her seat. Shawn groaned. Bree leaned down next to Shawn.

"Hey, are you okay?" Bree looked up at me. "Is she okay?"

I smiled halfheartedly. "She's a bit drunk, but other than that, she's fine." I stood up, pulling my leather top down a bit. "Maybe we should take her home."

"This early?" Bree pouted, glancing at the clock hanging above the bar. "It's only 12:30! The night"˜s still young!"

I laughed, walking over to Bree and resting my arm on her shoulder. "Yeah, I know, but we need to get both of you home. She's drunk, and tonight, you seem in the mood for a bar brawl." Before she could protest, I grabbed Shawn's arm.

"Come on, help me get her out of here. We'll have to help her. I don't think she's sober enough to walk by herself." I rolled my eyes, dragging Shawn to her feet. She swatted at me with her free arm, while Bree grabbed our coats, which Shawn had been sitting on.

"Leave me alone.." Shawn muttered. I just smiled, then called over my shoulder.

"Bree, you coming?"

"Right behind ya Chris!" She replied, shouting over the fast beat of Beyonce's "Crazy In Love", which had just started playing. I fought through the sweaty, dancing crowd to the entrance and, after making sure that Shawn was still conscious and Bree was still behind me, I stepped through the doorway into the cold night air.
