I don't really listen to classic rock anymore (I had enough of it as a kid), but these are two of the worst covers ever.


First, one of the all-time great guitar songs, off one of the all-time great CDs. The guitar solo is frequently listed as one of the Top 5 guitar solos of all-time. This is so painful. Some things you should never do... this is one of them.

Second, two women who should not be singing songs with any guitars in them. I can't believe anyone could like this mess. If you look at the audience I think they're shocked too. I remember seeing thing 5+ years ago and I'm still traumatized.

I was just going to post that all Smiths covers are awful. Good to see I'm not the only one to think this!

I do however like Frightened Rabbit's version of Half a Person, that's the exception to the rule for me. Can't find a Youtube video for it though.

They are all terrible!! Almost as bad is naming your band after a Smiths song (Pretty Girls Make Graves).

England gave us two bands that are simply brilliant, oh so British, and should never ever ever be covered: The Smiths and The Jam.
