Here's my opinion, the man's not freaking God. He can't solve every problem of every person in the country. He never claimed to do that either, but people got that out of his message of hope. On the other had, I am slightly disappointed. He's done stuff... he's definitely not done nothing, that's for sure. But he's not done enough...

I second that the man's not God. Let's face it; we're in a mess, it took how long to get in it; it's gonna take longer than a year or two to get out of it. Things are SLOWLY turning around, but it takes time. He's not a miracle worker who's gonna come put a band aid on America's knee and kiss it and it's better. If the problem is the language being used in the opening post I'm totally confident that we got our fair share of members that could bash Obama using the language to your satisfaction.

As for Obama, I'm happy he got voted president. How well or not he's been doing I can't really judge though. Not sure what people expect. Since you know, the opposition do their best to be in his way. What is realistic or not. Moving in the right direction although slow is a lot better than moving in the wrong direction.

I do not think he is moving in the right direction as much as moving in a different direction. There are no right and wrong directions; only directions which appeal more or less to your own interests. I would not say he is doing the 'right' job, because some of the other decisions made and paths transversed are those with which I personally do not agree. However, if you do, then he is going down the right path. It is all subjective to what you think the President should do with the limited powers he has.

I think there was only one person that could have moved this country, unilaterally, in the right direction.

I was with you up until the last part - I don't see how any politician can please everyone, especially not in a country with partisan lines as divisive as those in the United States.
