In the book Chaos Bleeds Willow and Tara come up against a bunch of small demons that Will anounces is called a Bakemono. Willow and Xander both very clearly said that they had been up against them before, but I have no clue when or where. I am pretty positive it was not in the show at any point; so I am thinking it is from an earler book. Does anyone know which book they are from?
