Bangel and the comparisons with others relationship in other series

Bills character was supposed to be in his 20s when he died, and was supposed to be extremely good looking. The actor they chose was way too old and short with zero sex appeal in my opinion.

What’s funny is that despite how much the show tried to destroy Eric’s character and build up Bills, Eric still managed to steal the show. Alexander Skarsgard has so much charisma and sex appeal he pretty much was the breakout character IMO. Him and Pam were the best 🙂
 
Just to add, to keep it slightly more on topic, I never understood the comparison anyway. Both shows and canon verses are unbelievably different, and so are the relationships.

Bill and Angel are absolutely nothing alike. All they have in common is their obsession with a little blonde girl and dark hair. Bill is shady AF, and betrays literally everyone he is in cahoots with. He’s a snake and is the epitome of untrustworthy. I never saw the comparison.

I'm about 6 episodes in to TVD. This is Twilight. Even my husband who walked in and sat down was like - is this a Twilight remake? The way that Stefan and Elena interact is very Twilight like. I never got that same vibe from Buffy and Angel. By episode like 2? Stefan and Elena are already together just like that. And people accuse Bangel of no build up... we had a whole freaking Season of build up! lol.

I guess maybe I'm looking for the comparisons between Angel and Stefan. As I posted on my profile, there are so many Stelena shippers on tumblers who are so supportive of the bangel ship and they seem to like the Bangel ship so I feel like a part of me wants to ship Stelena in solidarity lol. But honestly, IDK that its going to happen because Stefan and Angel are not the same.

I'm only on episode 6 so far, so bear with me but Stefan just joined the f*cking football team. Tell me in what world or plane of existence you could ever see Angel in the early seasons joining any type of group sport. That doesn't seem very introverted to me. He goes around saying he is a loner but he talks to everyone just fine. They aren't writing him extremely introverted right now but then again maybe I'm just comparing him to Angel who literally had no friends or social interactions for decades before he met Buffy and even then his conversations with Scoobies was extremely limited. Anyway - I'll keep watching and see if my opinion changes. I really want to like this dynamic. I'm looking for reasons to like them.

He joined the football team. Not even Edward Cullen would do that... smh.
 
@dcai0830 dude, Angel wouldn't even pretend to be a high schooler, let alone play contact sports, and it's got nothing to do with him not having a 'special ring' 🙂

No offense to Stefan, though I don't particularly like him much in S1, but he was just not as consistently written or fleshed out as Angel. I may not be the Great Forehead's biggest cheerleader on BtVS, but at least he seemed real and not like a teenager's wet dream.
