Yeahhhh! Season 2!! :tongue3:
1. Favorite episode(s)? Innocence, Surprise and Becoming Part2. This is my fav season, it can't be just an episode. Oh, also Passion.
2. Favorite scene(s)? The moment when they are about to make love, they confess openly how they truly feel and you can see their pure love, the fact that they're scared and the passion of it all.
3. Favorite moment(s)? When Angel gives her the Claddagh ring...I cry everytime and I get chills 'cause it's extremely romantic, it feels real and it'll remain in history.
4. Favorite quote(s)?
-Buffy: No, Angel, it's not you. You're the one freaky thing in my freaky world that still makes sense to me (if this doesn't sum up what she feels in her heart, I don't know what does)
-Buffy: Angel, when I look into the future, all I see is you! All I want is you.
-Angel: I know the feeling.
-Buffy: I like seeing you. The part at the end of the night where we say good-bye... It's getting harder.
-Angel: Yeah. It is.
-Angel: I love you. I try not to, but I can't stop.
-Buffy: Me, me, too. I can't either.
-Angel: What's happening?
-Buffy: Shh. Don't worry about it. I love you.
-Angel: I love you.
-Buffy: Close your eyes
Sorry. I had to put them all. It's THE Bangel season.
5. Do you like the way Buffy and Angel's relationship progressed throughout the season? Why or why not?
I do, absolutely. It progressed naturally like a normal relationship, culminating in the truest form of trusting and loving in Surprise and then...the twist, the metaphor, the growing up, it was all done gracefully and intelligently.
6. Innocence is known as the 'turning point of the series'. Thoughts on it and B/A? It is the BIG turning point but not just for season 2. What happens at the end of Surprise and later on in Innocence will affect Buffy for the rest of her life. She opened up her heart to Angel, gave him everything she had only for him to be turning evil he day after (and she also has to kill him later in the season). That's gonna leave an emotional scar so strong that Buffy won't open her heart for many years (just think about Riley). So, it was a very clever and touching episode when you just wanna hold Buffy, poor thing.
7. What do you think about Buffy/Angelus? Do you ship them? Why or or why not? Oh, well, ship is a big word. I don't ship them 'cause it's completely evil and quite insane and he's simply NOT Angel. They're not Buffy and Angel and the wonderful little details that make them the best couple would be lost so no, I don't ship them...but it's been very interesting for me to see their dynamic in Innocence and after.
8. Do you think Angelus had any romantic feelings towards Buffy? Why or why not? I would not say romantic feelings..but twisted feelings, sure. When Angel became Angelus his love and devotion towards Buffy became a constant obsession (similar to what he had for Drusilla) driven by evilness and desire to hurt and hunt this girl who meant something great for Angel.
9. Likewise for Buffy; in S3, Faith remarks that she bets B 'dug him even when he went psycho'. Do you think she's right? Why or why not? I don't think she really dug him in the evil shape but a part of her still saw Angel...the face, the voice..it was all there. When you love someone you just love him and if they turn evil there's something there that can still reach your heart because you remember how it was and you still want to be with him.
10. In Passion, Angelus finally shows us that he isn't all talk and kills Ms. Calendar. That same episode we find out that there is, in fact, a way to cure Angel. Thoughts on the ep? On of my fav episodes of this season. It's brutal, creepy, harsh, it crushes the characters and makes them grow up even more. I liked Angelus' introduction and epilogue speech, I find it beautiful and dark. I'm speechless everytime we see Willow and Buffy's reaction to Jenny's death and Giles and Buffy's interaction. The end makes you wanna say: your dropped the disk, you dropped the disk!!! Because the amazing thing I get from this episode is even if Angelus did a horrible thing we still wanna have our Angel back, we still want Willow to find the disk, in the end we love him so much that we don't care. It's the same thing the Scoobies are going to discuss, pointed out by Xander.
11. At the end of Becoming Part II, right before Angel's soul is returned, Buffy is about to finish him off. Let's say his soul wasn't returned and she killed him right then and there. Do you think it would have had the same affect on her as killing Angel did? IE; her leaving town, her guilty dreams, etc. Why or why not? I think it would have been still tremendously hard but maybe a little less because she would've been thinking all the time: " I did because I had to, he was evil, I had no choice, things didn't work with the spell" but killing your TRUE LOVE that you got back after the hurt and the pain, seeing your Angel again right there in front of you and you can be with him again...and you HAVE TO kill him simply because it's too late and it's your duty, it's a sacrifice it's an unbearable, it's excruciating and that's why I'm so mad at the scoobies in the beginning of season 3, they're all selfish and never once thought how Buffy could feel.
12. Is there anything you didn't like about B/A during this season? Not really...just in Reptile Boy when they're at the graveyard and she says: "No when you kiss me I wanna die" and the she runs away...I don't know, he grabs her in that way..well, they could've handled it better than that.
Sorry about the really long answers..and about my English, I'm Italian 🙂
