Bangel Continued

Been watching Angel season 2 today got me thinking how interesting it could have been if Buffy saw Angel with Darla. Her reaction to him hugging Faith wasn't great, would have made for an awesome Bangel scene.

I don't know which is worse for Buffy, Angel hugging Faith or Darla.
She's insecure by Darla, we never saw a lot of that, but that one episode was enough to show us history Angel and Darla had, and it was big and Buffy knew it. I think she would be shocked. I mean Angel killed her right in front of her eyes.
But then again, Buffy always thought Angel and Faith had a lot in comon, all that guilt and stuff.
But I think when you see your loved one with someone else, it doesn't matter who that person is.

Especially if that someone in the past wanted to take your loved one from you like Faith did.

The last scene in Some Assembly Required
Last scene showing Buffy and Angel leaving the cemetary holding hands. Buffy wanted to walk Angel home.

Of course I am biased when I say that I think Buffy and Angel should only be with each other and no one else because their love wouldn't be as powerful. Angel was always someone Buffy could talk shop with.

The part in Buffy's room in WMLP1 when Angel turns around after Buffy startles him and he is clutching Mr. Gordo Buffy's stuffed pig.

Oh I love that scene. lol, also cause shortly after that he delivers the "I lurk" line which cracks me up

another scene that makes me smile is them sparring in "Helpless" and she uses a baguette to 'stake' him.

oh yeah the beginning of Helpless is so good! :)

I like when Angel says grunts and says Right in the heart
One bangel moment that ALWAYS makes me smile is the one in The Yoko Factor, when Angel comes back to apologise. And when he says "he started it" and BUffy is so strict! hahahaha! And then, "I don't like him" and Buffy says "thank you". She has such a special smile. It's like she knows that one day they will be together for good...or that they can communicate in a very special way!:biggrin3:

Yep, Angel's imaturity was so funny and cute 🙂

Very endearing and one of the things I loved about the character and still do. Angel's immaturity made him human.

I love him when he behaves like a child! lol :)
haha I love petty and imature Angel, that's a cute moment. so is his "everyone's got a soul now" pettiness at the end of s7

oh I love you...but you already know that!
Angel's cockiness was always funny and cute. That what I love about Buffy and Angel's first meeting. Angel is so cocky in that scene and in the first season as well. That swagger in the way he walked. Good too.

Oh yeah his cockiness! hahaha!

"Maybe I don't need a friend"
"I didn't say I was yours"

and his smirk! I loved him the very moment I saw him! So I know how Buffy feels!!!:biggrin3:

That whole first scene makes me chuckle the look in Angel's eyes was so compelling and left me wanting to see more. Done so well by Sarah and David and the on-screen chemistry is there.

ooh I tingle each time I see this. they're just awesome together... and that line... "I didn't say I was yours" ... ahh Angel *swoons* 😉

I actually like when Buffy says in The Harvest: "Angel.. That's a pretty name".
Just the way she says it and the way her eyes glows. Just like she needed an angel at that time 🙂

Buffy liiiikes hiiim!!! hahaha!!! despite the fact she doesn't admit!!! Her face shines everytime she sees him in s1!
I love the scene in Reptile boy when Willow and Xander brings Angel to the frat house and he gets mad and vamps out and Xander's like "Okay that is the guy you wanna party with"

love it cause cute and funny, but also cause just the thought of the Buffster in danger and Angel goes all fangy and grr 😀

I love when he kissed her shoulder in Becoming #2, her hand in Earshot, and her head in IWRY. There is something so sexy and utterly romantic and sweet about him kissing her body. It's such a "you're mine and you are so precious to me" thing.

I always want to know what is on his mind when he was waiting for her in her bedroom in WML#1. Casually looking through her belongings. Holding Mr. Gordo!

I wonder if Angel practiced what he was going to say to her in the beginning. Probably. I mean, he waited a year before introducing himself.

I hate when people say that Angel/Buffy had their chance. They really didn't. As soon as they slept together he turned into Angelus for FOUR MONTHS and she got him back for literally a minute and was without him for another FOUR MONTHS. He was traumatized and animalistic when he first returned from Hell. And then they thought they had to stay "just friends" (because of the curse and everything that happened with Angelus) even though they were never really friends since there was always a romantic aspect to their relationship. They didn't get back together until the end of Amends and then Buffy needed a break (it wasn't a breakup, she just needed a little head space) in Enemies because seeing him kissing someone right in front of her that she had tried to help and befriend and that wanted to torture her to death and pretending to be Angelus was too much for her. They were back together with everything fine by the end of Earshot but then he breaks up with her in Prom not because he doesn't love or want to be with her but because he doesn't want to hurt her anymore, thinks she deserves better, thinks he isn't worthy of her, and thinks he needs to atone alone because he thinks he doesn't deserve happiness until he has been divinely forgiven.

Interestingly, none of Buffy's men think their worthy
^ I also absolutely love when he is kissing other parts of her body apart from her lips. Notice in Surprise, when she is taking him to the port, he kisses the top of her head. It shows how precious she is to him! Amazing!

In WML1, Angel has tears in his eyes when he is hoding Mr Gordo. At least I think so...in my mind, it shows that maybe Angel understands how Buffy loses her innocence from a very young age(being the Slayer while she is just a teenager) just like he lost it when he was sired.

About what he said in the first meeting. I have read a very good fan fiction(really don't remember the name damn it!!!) which shows exactly what Angel is thinking and how nervous he is when he is talking to her in WTTH. The fan fiction shows that Whistler told him how to behave and be careful with his expressions.

And crazysoulless I so much agree with your last paragraph. There are people who say that Angel didn't love her enough and that's why he left her in The Prom. But THAT shows exactly how much he loved her...he gives her the chance for a better life. He doesn't consider himself worthy of her. He doesn't stalk her, he doesn't force her to be with him, for all eternity. He tries to give her a normal life.

To me it is so obvious that Angel doesn't leave Buffy at the end of season 3 because he no longer loves her.

He gives up a life with Buffy because he doesn't see how it could work and he wants her to have a better life. Its a selfless act which you can tell is heartbreaking for him to do.

It also shows how Angel grew as a person after the events of "lovers walk". In that episode it is Buffy being the strong one, Angel can't bare to not be in her life. "There must be some way we can see each other?"

The reverse happens in The Prom as Angel breaks things off and Buffy doesn't want to except it.

I'd like to know how anyone could think that Angel didn't love Buffy at the end of season 3. Surely the events of IWRY tell you that in a perfect world Angel would be with Buffy?

I love it when Willow chews out Angel before they go to the Frat house.

Angel: Did she have a date?
Willow: Why do you think she went to that party? Because you gave her the brush off. You're going to live forever you don't have time for a cup of coffee?!

I hold out the hope that Buffy and Angel will be together again at some point never to be apart again.

I always wanted to see Buffy's first time going to Angel's apartment.

I love in WML when she is scared and rightly paranoid and goes to Angel's place but he isn't there and so she curls up in his bed and goes to sleep.

I wanted more scenes of Buffy & Angel at the ice skating rink. We should've gotten to see Angel wearing skates. I wonder if they ever went back there on one of those days that it was closed and skated all night. So romantic.

I can't believe that Joyce could watch Angel sitting next to Buffy's bed and holding and kissing her hand the way he was in Earshot and not realize how amazing what they had was. She still believed that Buffy could just give up her duty as the Slayer and saw Angel as an obstacle to her having the life she wanted her to have since he was a vampire. She wanted Buffy to be thinking of frat guys and keggers but being a warrior and supernatural is who and what Buffy is.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when she goes to his apartment, doesn't find him there and lies on his bed. She feels safe there. oh bangel rules!
