Come on all Bangel fans. This season is turning point for them. What do you think about it. This season is my favourite, because is so painful but yet so beautiful.

After seeing this episode, there is no way that Buffy should have been with anyone else but Angel, it's so obvious they are meant for one another.
Love them along with this season <3

Funny coming from a girl with a Spuffy sig :)
This season really was bangel's greatest. They made this season. They were just so cute. Well, up until Angelus comes out, and even there was a crap load of chemistry. I agree, there's no one else for Buffy. I miss Bangel =(

/me waves the Bangel flag frantically.

Check out all the Bangel/Spuffy threads for what I think, haha. No one needs or wants me to say it all again. 😛

HEY!!!BANGEL fan here also!!! i am so glad i have finally found a Buffy forum where i can talk about my obsession!:: vampire

IMO Buffy and Angel should end up together!!!i think Angel should become human and he and Buffy should marry and have loooots of babies!!!i know i am a hopeless romantic!!!

In season 2 i love the way their relationship is developing...in "when she was bad" Buffy may be a little bitchy(but i understand her after what she's been through with the Master etc) but i can see it in her eyes that the only man she cares about is Angel...even when she is dancing with Xander...even Xander can tell that she is not dancing for him! The scene in "when she was bad" in Buffy's bedroom...and "it doesn't matter" by Alisson Krauss...just amazing...i am in love with season 2...Buffy herself declares"All i want for the future is you"...

i could say even more...but i made it clear!i am a BANGEL fan!!!

Well, despite being a hardcore Spuffy, I'm even enjoying my Season 2 re-watch. Bangel, I must say...They are pretty darn cute together. Kinda makes me wanna puke lol j/k 😉

oh my God Princess Buffy!!!what a touching video!!!and you ended it with the perfect phrase!!!i wanna cry cause i loved it so much!!!

Eleftheria, I just had to post somewhere (and this seemed like the most appropriate place) how you have interpreted the quote in your sig, 'when you kiss me I want to die'.

I've always seen that as Buffy being nasty, due to the circumstances of how and when she says it, and I've always seen it to be a spiteful thing to say. But I love the fact, you see it in a more positive light. I've never thought of it that way before, to see it as her actually been pretty darn honest as opposed to mean.

Just another example to support my theory of how awesome it is for people to interpret things their own way and not be dictated to by anything! 😀

Yay for differing interpretations! ;)

I know I probably don't have a place in this thread, but I just wanted to comment on this quote as well.

Flannen: I too have always interpreted this quote as you have, as a hateful thing to say. For me, when she said that, Buffy meant that she wished she hadn't met Angel, because she knew, even then, he and her couldn't work out the long run. That they're doomed. Kissing him makes her sad, "she wants to die", because of it. Make sense?

I think a lot of people interpret it thematically as related to the fact that he's a vampire - like, that she wants to "die" so she can be with him forever. Yet, in my opinion, I would never believe that Buffy would suggest that she would want Angel to make her into a vampire, even if it meant they could be together "forever" (that's a Bella thing to say). We saw how scared and ashamed she was when that happened in "Nightmares."

Aha, I love it. Again, even more different views. I do like what you take from that quote Joan and it does make sense. The way I see it, is much more about Buffy being a bitca! Like, I see it as she's annoyed Angel is being realistic and saying 'it's not a fairytale, it's serious' so she says that when he kisses her, she'd actually rather be dead, it's so horrible! She really wanted to hurt him because of her own pain, I think.

Annnd, I didn't think about it as meaning she wanted to die and be with him forever or that she wanted to be a vampire either. I was thinking more along the lines of, if you choose to see it in a positive way, it making her so happy and being all she wants that she could die feeling fulfilled? Something a long those lines anyway. That it made her so happy she felt like she could be taking completely out of this world...or something. 😛

oh ok i just saw this notice...the way i see it, it is not about dying, being a vampire and spending all eternity with Angel cause i know Buffy hates vampires...and she would never like that!(unlike Bella who is more than willing to sacrifice her humanity so easily)
Also i don't see it as nasty...or mean.Buffy loves Angel and Angel loves Buffy...she is a vampire slayer and he is a vampire...so their love seems to be wrong...it is a sort of abnormal thing...or rather poetic as Giles mentioned...So the way i see things Buffy knows that she has strong feelings for him(it is the beginning of the second season) and when he kisses her she wants to be lost in that kiss but simultaneously she wonders how this is gonna work...and turn out! That is my opinion,i know people may see this quote differently but i am a hopeless romantic(and die hard BANGELER LOL!) and this was my explanation...I know that when Buffy says that to Angel in Reptile Boy they had a sort of disagreement and Angel grabs her and holds her...i believe Buffy was sort of afraid of her feelings because she had never felt that way before...and maybe she is afraid of how her friends are gonna see that love...how does that interpration seem to you???it is interesting that we all see it in a different way 🙂 and yeah it is pretty much what you say Flannen about happiness and fulfillment...i find that very romantic...it is actually the first time someone tells me that Buffy might have said that to hurt Angel...

Just a short one. I've always very much seen it linked with Angel's line...

about love being a fire that burns you to the bone and also the sort of love that swallows you whole

It typfies an all consuming love. Passionate and painful all in one. Sometimes we use the phrase dying to wanting to die when citing some sort of powerful emotion and that's what I think it's about.

I think judging from what he says to Wes though, I think Angel doesn't define love like that anymore, I'm not sure if Buffy does though...
