If there's one thing we love on d'telly, it's a good OTP (One True Pairing) to obsess over. It's the will they/won't they that has us utterly hooked and when they do get together we sigh and wonder why life can't be like that for everyone. And then, they go and break up or cheat on each other and the cycle stars all over again. Darn those TV writers, they certainly know how to keep us coming back for more.

In honour of the day that's in it, we've decided to take a look back through the archives and try to come up with a list of Ten Iconic TV couples that took over the tellybox. And don't be shy - drop us a comment below with your all time favourites!

Buffy and Angel (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
Don't have sex. You will lose your restored soul and attempt to kill your vampire slayer girlfriend. That's what somebody should have told Buffy and Angel. These two were doomed from the off but that didn't stop us from falling in love with David Boreanez and Sarah Michelle Geller's on screen counterparts. Sure, she eventually fell in love with Spike and his heart broke into pieces when he lost Cordelia (Not to mention the baby he had with Darla, aka Pete from Mad Men), but Buffy and Angel are one of TVs most iconic couples and a list like this just wouldn't be complete without "˜em.

(For the Irish among us, I never thought I'd see the day where Buffy and Angel would be on the same list as Biddy and Miley! LOL)

Ha ha Biddy and Miley.

I definitely agree that their iconic, they are the picture of relationship for BtVS, nothing like that for the other relationships.

I think B/A are undeniably the iconic relationship of the verse. People I know who have never seen the shows know about Buffy and Angel as a couple.

When I think of Buffy and Angel together, that's how I would describe their romance. Iconic. Epic. That "One True Pairing" feel. It's my favorite part of the series and something I enjoyed right from the first episode until the last one.

I watch a lot of T.V. in a lot of different genres, and out of all of them, Buffy and Angel is my favorite romance, by far.

Me too. I watch so much TV, and some of it is better TV than Buffy or Angel ever was, but still, B/A is untouchable.

Even I, a non-Bangel-shipper, am completely happy to see this. They truly are an iconic TV couple and it's great that they still get the recognition they deserve! Certainly Btvs wouldn't be what it is without Bangel, and TV wouldn't be what it is without Btvs....

Look in just about any "best couple" list on the net, and you'll find either Buffy and Angel, Buffy and Spike, or both. If nothing else, it's proof positive that Joss can write up some great romance when he puts his mind to it.
