I'm a bangel shipper cuz i believed that they had true love, and it was just so natural and perfect and i wish it coulda lasted...besides i HATE the Spuffy ship::grrr:: hehe sorry..

Okay I realize that hardly anyone is actually participating in my "questions" plot to keep the thread going but I'm gonna ask another one anyway in the spirit of Bangel!!

That one is kinda weird but I like it and then I found that Jessica is the best. But even if it is morbid it shows that no matter how much I didn't like Bngel, that they really loved each other.

One of the reasons why I was reluctant to watch Angel seriously for a long time was that I knew he'd have other love stories and I didn't know what that would do to the memories I had about Buffy's first three seasons.

Well I have watched all of Angel and indeed I don't know what to think. I don't really know if Buffy-Angel is THE love story of that world anymore. It's not just Cordelia, there's the whole story of Angel and Darla, and how he tried to save her. Heck they even had a child! No other female could claim to have done that with Angel.

Buffy-Spike had its moments too, but for me it's all kind of tainted by that sadomasochistic relationship they went through in Season 6 of Buffy. I do love watching their scenes together in Season 4 "Something Blue". Those are so delightful!
 
I see what you're saying.

Although I do feel that Bangel is the BEST ship out of EVERY ship EVER.....that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate Buffy and Angel with other people.

I liked Angel and Cordy and Angel and Darla (although I will dispute that Angel and Darla never loved each other and also that having a child does not constitute love between two people).....

I also really enjoyed Buffy with Riley and Spike.....

But I am still a DIE HARD BANGEL!!

I wasn't thrilled with Riley when he first appeared as Buffy's love interest in Season 4. But I liked him better in Season 5, and when I see the reruns I like him more and more. I was surprised at how glad I was to see him in S6 "As You Were" when he shows up in line at the Doublemeat Palace. It was like someone from a happier time in Buffy's life dropping in on her. In that season we didn't see Angel at all, thanks to the spat that the WB and UPN were having at the time. Too bad, they should have shown us the Buffy and Angel reunion after she was brought back.

One Angel episode that some people may like but which I didn't was S5 "The Girl in Question". It was funny and clever and Andrew was fun but I got annoyed that they would tease us about Buffy being present but not actually letting us see her. Of course it wasn't the fault of the show that SMG wasn't available to guest star, but it still annoyed me.

I liked Season 5 of Angel but it's interesting how Buffy casts her shadow over it. And this after SMG herself had left the Whedonverse.
 
I don't remember the line exactly but it's in helpless Angel asks Buffy if she wants to hang out for her birthday and she says she's already seeing this older guy blah blah blah he like's it when she calls him daddy. Angel's reaction is so funny he's like your father and then he starts to panic and he's all it is your father right? I thought it was hilarious.
