Seems like the war.. sorry I mean the discussions about Bangel, Spuffy or both has come to take over the boards completely. So here's now a chance to talk about any other ship in Buffy or Angel that isn't either of them. And lets not get into a fight about which ship is better, even if disagreeing of course is allowed. And just to start it off let me say that none of my favourite ships are perfect. I'm not here to try and convince all of you that this is the way you should think. Just sharing my own thoughts and hoping to hear yours.
Tillow is my number one ship. And it has nothing to do with it being a lesbian ship. Even if it isn't a downside either. I loved the Willoz relationship but I love Tillow even more. It progressed naturally and didn't make a big thing about it being a gay relationship. Which it shouldn't but at the time it wasn't as common as I'd like. The relationship made them both grow as people. Willow did take it too far as we all know and when Tara realised that trying to help her wasn't enough she had the sense to do the right but extremly hard thing when you love someone and left Willow. But they still managed to get back together and it had been interesting to see what would have happened with their relationship if disaster hadn't struck. But I had no problem to identify with Dawn at the beginning of Seeing red. Even if the bathroom scene with Buffy is extremly powerful and important, for me the episode is about Tillow
Cangel is my second favourite ship and I don't understand how people can see it as unrealistic. Happening too fast I buy even if I don't agree, but not unrealistic. This is a about real love and not instant physical attraction or sex like some other ships that will rename nameless at this moment. Since it didn't get much time to evolve it's hard to know where it would have ended. I don't claim it's the love of all loves. To me it's just a believable and interesting relationship. It's not the puppy love or experiment phase. It's the grown up love.
Third on my list is Fresley. Here we have the example of the boy crushing on a girl for what feels like forever before she grow feelings for him too. It might not be the ideal base for a good relationship and it would be easy for Fred to use Wesley because of his admiration for her. But when they got together I can't recall (but I know my memory is bad) them being anything but cute together. But then of course it wasn't like they got a long time together. Not sure if it's because I can relate to Wesleys feelings towards Fred or something else that makes this one of my favourite ships. I just know that it is.
