That's a fair point but it doesn't really add anything to why you underestimate Buffy so much to think that she would actually go so far as to want to stake Angel. It's not about Angel's underestimation of her! 😛

You're right. A Buffy's boot sized suppository would have been both funnier and more educational for Ol' Broodie. And considering how strong an aphrodisiac violence has become for Buffy, maybe they could even tear a house down together afterwards.

As Kana has already pointed out Buffy herself came to terms with what Angel did in IWRY. She tells him that she undersatnds, she doesn't once nail Angel for making the decision or say that he was wrong. She agrees with him. I think if Buffy was gona kick anyone's arse for making decisions for her it would be Willow for bring her back. If anyone made a decision for Buffy that deserves the scorn of fandom it is that one. What Angel did was for the greater good, what Willow did was selfish.

Exactly my opinion about season 6 Willow. Well said!
I agree. Buffy said she understands. Angel was thinking with his head once again, not with his heart, just like he did in The Prom. But Buffy have this tendency to think with her heart when it comes to Angel, putting her head aside.

Willow thought Buffy was suffering in a hell dimension. If you can excuse Angel attempting to save or protect Buffy by his actions, I don't see how you can condemn Willow for trying to do the exact same thing,

The main issue is that Angel made the decision turn himself back without consulting it with Buffy and also told her that she'd have no memory. She was sad and a little mad at first but she didn't seem angry in those last moments.

I'm not entirely on board with him not discussing with Buffy first nor do I agree with him trying to fight the mohra demon without her. His intentions were noble enough but he was a being a little overprotective.

Because Angel spoke to a higher power and THEY were the ones that told him Buffy would die. He asked for an option that could save her and taking back the day was the option he was given. Willow on the other hand assumed that Buffy was in Hell. If she was powerful enough to bring Buffy back then I think she could have found out Buffy's actual whereabouts. Instead she acted rashly and wrongly. The fact that she didn't consider what could possibly come back with Buffy shows that. So, no I can't condone what Willow did.

Before the day is swallowed, when Angel tells what is going to happen she tells him she understands. She doesn't like it but she knows it has to be done.

My apologies. I guess I DID sleep through it. I just got through re-watching that part, but you posted before I could retract.
^ I don't agree with that about Willow. When the portal opened, all of these demons came out of it. That's why Willow thought she was probably in Hell. I can see why she would make that assumption. & I think that was very unselfish of her. She didn't want Buffy to suffer there. She saw how it affected Angel.
 
Willow assumed that Buffy was in hell because she died closing a portal into hell. Angel assumed that if he became a vampire once more, Buffy would not die in the act of protecting a human within a year. Both acted in sincerity based on faulty information. Both had what they believed that they were acting in Buffy's best interests. Both were wrong.
 
I agree with you on this one. But the important thing was their intention. They belived they are doing the good thing 🙂

Well first...White Avenger I never thought Buffy would stake Angel if she ever found out about that! Buffy killed him once because it was a NECESSITY to save the world...she would slap him on the face or stop talking to him for a while but not stake him! And yeah in the end of IWRY she said she understands...although she had very little time to swallow all the things that were happening she knew Angel was again trying to protect her.

And about Willow...no matter her intentions...I still think she had done a terrible mistake! I mean she is a powerful witch...and she is trying to bring a dead person back who is supposedly in Hell...did she never wonder what could have happened if Buffy WAS in Hell? What if she were in Hell and by bringing the Slayer back she was bringing sth much worse? She was risking much by her actions.

I will always believe(although i used to love Willow and i know that she is Buffy's best friend) that what she did was motivated by selfishness. She thought that Buffy should be back. That they needed the Slayer back. I remember Buffy's face when she woke up from her grave. Poor Buffy. And the whole sixth season...the depression, the sadness and everything it was because Buffy was trying to adjust to the world again.

Generally, bringing a dead person back can have LOTS of consequenses.

I know she loves Buffy and she thought she was doing the right thing...but she forgot sth...she never asked Buffy herself. As a powerful witch she could have contacted her spirit or sth...
I can't compare this action to Angel's action in IWRY.Angel did sth to protect Buffy, i know it was cruel(hey!I'm a BANGEL, i want them together!🙂 ) but I didn't see him trying to bring her back from the dead once he found out about Buffy's death.She died a hero.She deserved peace.

I don't have a link to a certain fan fiction but I remember reading fan fictions of Buffy meeting Angel after she comes back from the dead. They are so emotional!


And also...I have to say after watching Selfless, our blond Slayer was quite clear about "Bangel". She loved him more than anything in this life!!! I bet Sarah threatened Joss with a gun to give Bangel its fire back after the obnoxious season 6(lol kidding!):lmao:

I know I have no place in this thread, but Live Journal is the place to go for fan fiction. Fanfiction.net is alright, but not as good.

Bangel fanfic? Don't go anywhere near FF.net, you won't find the good stuff there.

If you are just starting out with Bangel fic and even if you have read Bangel fic for awhile Octaves of the Heart run by Chrisslee is the probably the best source of quality Bangel fic. Honestlty the whole place is like Bangel Heaven, you could spend weeks exploring all the fic it has to offer.

Chrislee also links to every author that has a story on her site so that is oodles of more fic to track down.

I posted some links in the fanfiction thread in Social Studies a couple weeks ago too.

I have loads more links and suggestions if people want them but alot of it is NC-17 (such is the nature of fanfic) so if you are old enough, pm me and I'll see if I can help you out 😀

As for videos? IMO all the best ones have been taken down, I haven't seen a Bangel video that I really enjoyed in a good long while 🙁
