I know, I know, hard to believe but the only times I got intense for Spuffy in threads were when I thought they were becoming a bit overwhelmed. Mine would probably be the first two episodes of S1. It was almost cute, since Angel and Buffy weren't whining, they were bickering in a cute and friendly way. 😀 So it was kind cute, except for that super creepy time in Welcome to the Hellmouth when he stalked her to the Bronze... Still, "I thought you'd be taller". LOL! 😀

My favorite Bangel time period is Season 1, too. Back when he was the mysterious stranger who just popped in and said something cryptic and then left. Back before he had any real interference in her life other then helping her fight her mission. I love them in WTTH:

Buffy: Yeah, well, maybe I don't want a friend.
Angel: I didn't say I was yours.

Just reinforces that "never friends" thing I'm always rattling on about 😉 (Just kidding.)

If I hated this ship as much as I and other Spuffies are accused of, I would have to say the time between the Season 2 finale and the Season 3 premier (since I saw the later episodes first, I never doubted that Ol' Broodie would return, I just didn't know exactly when or how) Actually, though, I think that their time together in Season 1 was my favorite. There is an innocence and wonder about first love that I've always been a sucker for, and Season 1 is exactly that. first love. It also seemed to me to be the happiest time in Buffy's life. After that, things just kept becoming more and more grim, right up to the end. It was almost as though Joss at some point decreed, "No matter how long the series lasts, NOBODY walks away happy."

I love everything about them! I like 1st season cause they are so innocent, they have strong feelings but they do not admit it completely, I absolutely love season 2, where Bangel reaches its peak!!! and of course season 3 cause even though she killed him, even though they tried to stay away from each other, they couldn't. They loved each other and they proved it.

I love IWRY cause it is absolutely proven that if Angel got rid of the curse, Buffy would finally be happy. They would live together, like a normal couple, not being afraid of a hug, or a kiss, or you know...In IWRY, even though summer has passed, and uffy is trying to move on, she never said "I can't be with you...let's keep moving on!"...

I love Yoko Factor, cause even though they exchanged hard words(mostly Buffy IMO), Angel comes back JUST to reconcile.(and kick Riley's ass, I kinda enjoyed it!!!).

Oh and how can I forget? I love Forever...Angel comes back in Buffy's worst moment in her life. Buffy still wants Angel in her life.

I love End of Days/Chosen cause he came back to help her, and "I am yours" means a lot of things. He still belonged to her, he still wanted to help her fight.

If I had to choose, I really love the "Angel" episode and 3rd season despite the fact that Angel is gonna leave. He shows how mature he is, and that he loves her so much, he has the courage to let her move on, know new things in her life. If people are meant to be, they will always find each other.

Alright, so I just asked the question: What is your favorite Bangel ep/ time period. Well, I've changed my mind:

I love ALL Bangel! There simply cannot be a Bangel episode that lacks extraordinary depth, perception, love, and emotion. You can tell from the first time Buffy tackled Angel that there was something different, something HUGE there, and I simply can't WAIT to discover more about it!

With the help of you kind folk, I'm hoping to learn more and more about the deep and treasured truths of Bangels that I was too silly before to really GRASP. But now, I'm ready and willing to go on a journey that will change me for the better.

So, what do I love about Bangel? I love the mystery. How everything is ambiguous, yet right there in front of you. How everything is both full of reason and exempt of reason. How, even 8 years later, they've never loved anyone like they loved each other. How they have a special bond that they've never experienced with anyone else. How their love "transcends everything". The crazy, immense feelings and completely unselfish yet thoughtful love they have for each other. And most of all, how even though they'll probably never have a happy ending, they'll ALWAYS have a happy ending, simply because they'll always love each other. 🙂

My favorite B/A season is 2. I just love everything about it! From the beginning of the two 'officially' starting their relationship, to the tragedy of Buffy having to send Angel to hell. It's all just beautiful. As Eleftheria said, it was the peak of their relationship.
