Bangel's reaction to Parker

Sorry about the thread title, I couldn't think what else to call this thread. I'm currently going through all the extra's on my DVD and I've listened to the season 4 featurette that does an over view of the majority of episodes. When talking about the episode ''Harsh Light of Day'' there was a speach by Buffy that was cut because the episode had originally ran long by 6 minutes. The conversation is between Willow and Buffy at the end and Buffy says ''I kept telling myself 'Look how much I'm over Angel, look how I'm not even thinking about Angel, look how I'm going out with this other guy and its not about Angel' I should have realised that that meant it was all about Angel.''

Obviously due to the line being cut the majority of us Bangel's feel that Buffy was really disrespectul of her relationship with Angel.

I thought it would be nice to share this for those fans who didnt know about it 🙂

For me, I didn't think it was disrespectful to Angel in the least. 1) It is so painfully obvious that Parker was a rebound and 2) One of the major reasons that Angel left Buffy was so she could explore human relationships.

I'm also happy that they cut that line because I think it is a disservice to Buffy. While Parker may have been about Buffy proving to herself that she was over Angel, I don't think it is fair that it was solely about Angel.

Honestly, I've never felt like Buffy was being disrespectful to Angel or their relationship by hooking up with Parker. By that point it had been at least three months since Angel left Sunnydale and Buffy was still trying to get past her heartache. Buffy was a young woman and her wanting to explore dating is perfectly normal. Also,like Kean said, it was clearly only a rebound.

I wish they would have put that in, because I felt like that too. I felt like it was somewhat about Angel, and her trying so hard to move on.

It was rather fast after he left that she moved on to someone else, but he was just a rebound.
